Sunday, July 5th.

Remember this is an OPEN edit week. No rules.

The open edit rule is mostly to counteract the poor textures of some cars, allowing people who aren't good at cleaning (*looks at self*) to use different filters than they would normally be allowed to, improving their chances at winning.

Awww, 🤬 Forget about me. Good luck, guys 👍

Excuse me, but: Haven't we passed June 24th already? :odd: And in case you meant July 24th, wouldn't that be too far away? :odd: :odd:

Same here, Codename. I have GIMP but can't edit worth a 🤬, not to mention my mouse is screwed up and I suck at drift shots anyway. Oh well, I could try.

Editing is not a problem. As long as you can overcome it, it never is a problem. It's just that I don't have any graphic editing programs. I'm currently downloading Picasa, but knowing my luck, it won't work as neither GIMP does on this computer, either because it doesn't or because I'm not an administrator, and my brother won't help me. 22 years against 16 years never work together.

EDIT: I love my computer, man! I''m executing the damn program and it just won't work :banghead: This is why I hate 2.0 competitions. I know I don't stand a chance against heavily photoshopped pictures!

I would definitely go for something else. The first one looks dirty (touching the dirt) and the second one... well, two wheels on the air? I don't see much drift in that.

I thought only in the polls did that matter :odd: That's why only in the poll does that rule apply, and thus is not featured here.

What’s that has to do with what I said?

In the poll people should not sway the poll (somebody saying hey vote for my photo NOW!!!)
What I said - In competitions you should not ask other members to choose an entry for you (have confidence on your skills).

(And I am saying you shoud not; and not saying you may not)

What good does those two "hints" (since they are nothing but hints, they only tell us what we should do) if we can choose whether to follow them or not? It also makes your first post directed to dennisw useless. :indiff: If we can do as we want (without any rules saying otherwise), it's kinda pointless to say that to him.

Wich one shall i go crazy on :)

I would definitely go with the 1st one (top), it's the better image.

Also you shouldn't ask the eventual voters, on which to use.

Heck most of the trouble is shot selection (for me anyway), narrowing down from many, down to 2 or 3 of the best, and then hoping to choose the one the voters would like. Getting others to choose which to use long before the poll, is not allowed (or wasn't when I was entering tons of comps).

Hey how about this, I post these 30+ shots I took, and you guys tell me which one I should use. Also, tell me how to edit the shot too. Heck, why don't you guys make the shot and put my name on it... and make sure it's a winner too....lol

GrumpEone, do it. If you have 30+ shots, I have no problem with it. The way Nicknamealguem put it makes it seem those rules aren't rules anymore (as you seem to remember, as well as me. When did this changed? I don't know), but hints. I can't do a shot for you, otherwise, I would have done one for me. I know your post is likely to be filled with sarcasm. But every post with sarcasm has a point: to prove something or to get a good laugh out of it. Yours doesn't seem to be aiming for the last one, hence the response.

Besides, dennisw posted only 2 pics. He was even generous enough to post previews or them. If there's something regarding the rules I don't know, please explain. In this thread, however, no rules regarding this matter are featured. My "rant" as you may call it, is fundamented.

lol, that whole last paragraph was filled with sarcasm, I was trying to prove a point, while providing a little chuckle.

I agree with you 200%, and that is my point exactly.

It is a general rule you follow in any competition you enter, being GTP, or elsewhere.

Are those knockoffs?

I just really dig those rims, spokes w/ spinners. Maybe a little misfit for the Carbon but I think it came out well. The pain was removing all the crosshatching on that car.
