This poll will run for 7 days. The deadline is December 16.

All of them meet the requirements but i see flaws in a lot. If we were to vote, we should be voting which meets the theme the best while maintaining the appeal to it.

In my book of art&design, there's a spectrum. Function <-> Aesthetics. Function being, an only focus on it's ability to work with something, Aesthetics for its looks while containing no real compatibility. for example, Sleeper cars to Ricer Cars..

in this case, it was "Night Stalker".

the Cizeta pic; a good choice of a car for "stalking", since it's a sleek, fast and slim, it's definetly is well prepared for a job such as that. However, the picture is much too bright and is clearly visible because there are people watching it. Thus, imo, doesn't meet it as well as others.

the S2000; great detail on the lights, but the background looks if was scraped, it looks nice, the idea of doing it and all, but it kinda overdone.

the Benz convertible; the lighting is excellent, not too dark, yet bright enough to see the car. However, why would someone 'stalk' with an open top, and why put a spoiler on a benz?

427; it's great, it really caught my attention, great lighting and use of blurring, but again, it's an open top..

autobianche; imo, is weak in catching attention. i don't see anything great about it. I mean yes its drifting that's nice, but i think contrast could be bumped up bit more, as wll cropping it down.

elise; it's beautiful, i love it (not because it's a car i like), but because i think it meets the theme best. the elise is a sleek, small and quick car. i love the angle and the cropping. the limited amount of light on the road is amplified by the thin, but sharp chrome on the car. what could make it even more enriched is if it was cropped a bit more on the top. I do love the car though..

the 240sx & benz; both have similar traits, good cropping, but after that, there's not much that i see of it. it's missing something...

corvette; it lovely, the angle is superb, one big problem, it'd a bit too blurred, change the aperture next time so it doesn't blur everything. Linking to that, because most of the car is blurred, it makes that unblurred tire stands out too much. it looks almost as if it doesn't belong in the picture. a lack of shadow is being cast down on the road by the tire, making it look cut and paste.

rx-7; tackling a corner, yes, drifting, yes, but it's missing components. Mainly, the ability to meet a theme. If the car is 'stalking', then what is it stalking? I can't tell because all i see is a wall, and barely a path. include it's path next time, so the audience knows its stalking something...

i voted for the elise by the way..

I'm really shocked by the fact that my shot didn't make it. I swear that my shot was better than the SLR from gordon gt. Maybe beerzy didn't see my photo, or really, mine just sucks.... :yuck: :( Its even unedited!!! Well whatever, i don't give a 🤬 about these comps anymore. I will never win a single comp or do i even have a chance of getting into the top 10 👎 So why should i try? If gordon got his shot in, then i supposed i could just do the same!!!! :dunce: :grumpy:

a Trico Pro - Just because I named the theme 'Night Stalker' doesn't mean the car in the image had to be stalking something or someone, it was more of a guideline. What I really wanted to see was black cars drifting on a night track.
Of course I had my own thoughts about what kind of shots suited it better, but I still like to see what people come up with.

mnm_bmx - Believe it wasn't easy deciding which pics would be left out of the final poll. There were shots that I didn't like that much, but yours wasn't one of them. I decided not to include it because although I liked your car choice and the way you shot it, the composition threw me off, because the car is centered on the image, which in terms of composition is a big mistake, since it makes shots bland and uncomfortable to the viewer.
No, if I had 1 euro for everytime I was left out of the polls... So don't be frustrated, just keep trying. It's not like your shots are always left out... 👍

Well its okay, its good to hear it straight from you. 👍 I was getting a bit mad at this thing, but yeah, i guess it doesn't matter now. I mean if my shot wasn't the best, so be it! I'll just have to try harder next time :)

I can't believe my McLaren SLR, didn't make the cut, or did I fix the link too late?? I guess that's what happens when the competition lasts weeks and weeks past the 'deadline', and you actually reorganize you imageshack account. Is that what happened to this image, or did it really not make the cut.

I was wondering because I thought this was a DRIFT competition, and like 4 or 5 of the entries that made it, show little evidence of Drifting.

Anyway Good Luck to all that made the cut. I voted of the Other Benz.

GrumpEone - perhaps if you had used a lower shutter speed to get spinning wheels and a sense of speed it might have had a better shot at making the poll.

Sure, I agree, but 4 of the shots had ZERO evidence of drifting; My question was plain and clear, pertaining to the one who put the poll together, I was asking if the reason I was not in the poll, was because after I reorganized my Image Shack account and the entry then became blank (link was no longer correct), and I was wondering if I didn't fix it in time, or if I just didn't make the cut.

FYI - I liked your shot, I am pretty sure you drifted, but then again no smoke trail...

its hard to get a trail of smoke due to flaws in the gt4 engine.

and, just because a drift isnt big and exciting doesnt mean it isnt.

Really, I never had a problem getting a smoke trail... And yes if there is no smoke trail, then it isn't much of a drift! Just having your wheels spin for a second, isn't really drifting, more of just losing traction. Drifting is technical, and not all that easy to perform correctly. But It is extremely fun once you get the technique down, keeps you on the edge of your seat.

I've had problems smoking tires while drifting. Most drifts have very little smoke. I only get massive amounts of smoke on long high speed corners on fast forwarded replays.

The 900HP Skyline I had a while back didn't smoke nothing but it gets sideways on a dime and stays sideways.

Well its mostly on how you do a drift which causes smoke. A handbrake drift would consider have more smoke that, lets say a feint drift. Cause the tire locks up and friction of the tires to the tarmac would make smoke. Well sometimes its the track surface which makes it have more/less smoke. A street circuit would have less smoke than a track circuit because street circuit has less grip. Well mainly i would blame the GT4 smoke engine as well, cause the smoke trail isn't as realistic than NFS: Pro Street.... :D

Hmm.. I've only had issues getting a good smoke trail on a few 4WD cars. My best smoke trails are with no driving aids, and running the turn a Gear higher than I should be in (Manual Transmission), also with an extremely 'loose' setup. Kinda just sliding around the track. Check out my drift Gallery at https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=100366

I love the 3000GT Drift. even though I thought (at the time) that I was not going not going to make the turn, but I slid though it beautifully.

Don't Give Up! I spent days on a dead comp - the Nismo 400 R fiasco :scared: !
