I don't really like this shot all too much. Some thing about the angle makes it look funny in my eyes. But for now this is my...

~Final Entry~

Ookay, no more Wangan Midnight for me...

I even bothered to go and get the right rims to match the Monster Machine Supra driven by Kei.

generic? That's a shot thats filled with action. The body roll, blur & smoke = a great shot imo. Plus the glare off the rear window is

Yeah, that is an amazing shot!:embarrassed: I like the glare contrasting with the shadows in the background.👍

Absolutely, but it seems too much like an "NTX" shot. Almost expected. Still amazing, though.

Though, I really don't like what happened to the front end.

It is avoidable on a lot of shots. Though, then you start to sacrifice blur and effect. It was the same with my PMC qualifier - I couldn't get the rear to be in focus, so I didn't advance. Not to take anything away from NTX - it's one of my favourite shots of his recently because it is a bit different and unique.

I really wanted a action looking shot, thats why I kinda liked the looking of the fronf of the car, that blur really adds an extra bit of speed, an goes well with the background blur IMO. Glad you people liked it 👍

The front is almost unevitable. That's from GT4 in-game.

It is not inevitable, and GT4 is not to blame, though I am not blaming NTX either. The blurring of the front of the car is due to poor fucus, but it doesn't take anything from the shot, infact, I think it adds to it!

Good clean images are great, but not always necessary - its all about managing perceptions. if the shot was static, then the blurring of the front would maybe, be a little unacceptable, but seeing as the car is drifting, it adds a little realism to the shot.

Imagine that it was a real picture, and you were trying to catch a drift shot, how much differently would the real image be from this one? Because Photomode lets you stage your shots, you can detach yourself from the fact that in real life you only have one chance to get it right. This image is close to how I think a real life picture of the drift would look like.

Another great shot filled with energy NTX! 👍

Skyline49, your contradicting yourself a little here. You've just said this:

Great shot, but a bit generic NTX shot.

but in another thread (about the same image, but complaining about another NTX image) you say this:

Skyline49
It is amazingly done (👍) (other than the front) and is an almost sure winner. That's the NTX that I like and am a fan of. 👍 I will always vote for a shot that looks fresh rather than one that doesn't stand out at all.

I'm not trying to pick at you, but you do need to be consistent with what you say about the same image. 👍

While a bit generic, I was refering to the contrast and that stuff. The other was about the angle. Sorry that it wasn't clear.

Well, you can fix it, but like skyline said, it takes away from the blur on the background.

And mag, it could add to it if it was correct. A "flipping" blur like that makes me assume NTX took the shot the immediately spun the car around into the wall. It can be good if it's on the back.

Good point, and well spotted! That's something I never contemplated. 👍

I may of been a little short with you before regarding your critique of NTX's style, if you feel that's the case, accept my apologies. 👍 I just saw a little red because I NEVER negatively comment on any picture, and I believe no one else should either. 👍

 Besides, I should not be lecturing you on contradictions, when (in other threads), I have been equally lectured for exactly the same thing! :dunce:

whoa, nice shots Jg and mag! Havent seen too many drifting tacomas!

Thanks pal, I'm glad I chose the Tacoma now! I wanted to use the trusty ole '83 Sprinter, but I figured that car would be pretty popular, so, I went with the Tacoma. 👍

Wow! I didn't know the tacoma was soooo smooth!

I am surprised at how well it is detailed myself, obviously someone at PD loves Tacomas! 👍
