Drifting, what specifically does that refer to regards this game? I know what it is in a real car, are there specific settings for that on these or am I just confusing the issue?

I wonder that if in general cars like the Spec II Ford, which handle horribly without major adjustments, require more downforce?

I have to admit I dont understand how you guys can drive that car, I have looked around and so far cant find much on it...

Also, the $2 mil dollar ferrari, can it be driven in only 800pp races?

Generally, if you make smoke in the turns you are drifting.

RX-7 needs no adjustments, neither does any car but the RX-7 feels good sideways.

The Forg GT LM handles great! Can't help you there.

The F2007 ( the $2,000,000 ferrari) cant be detuned to 800pp. It is usually a car specific race.

Another point about drifting- Real drifters use sticky tires ( at least Sport tires) but in this game guys simply put low grip tires and slide around everywhere. Im not taking anything away from the good drifters, but is just not realistic.

1. what would sticky tires be, R2?

2. I tuned the GT Spec II (not ford gt, that isnt the car i meant) per a post i found here and doing much better...

3. thanks for responding

4. when you tune a car for a race, then go to another car and race, does that first car stay tuned to the way you tuned it for the first race??? it seems they dont, but they must, right?

Drifting is a matter of your car's displacement. Your car's movement has two main components to it, "Direction" and "Displacement." When your car's Direction and Displacement are going the same way, you are simply heading down the track, but when your Displcaemtn is in a different direction that the car is heading, it is considered a drift, at least to the GT5P physics.

You also asked for tuning, you can help initiate a drift not just with your ride height and suspension putting load on either end of the car, but by changing the brake balance to lock tires, as well as disbalance tire grip between front and rear. High grip front tires, in reality can help, as somebody pointed above, direct the car, unfortunately in the game all I see is n3/n1 across the leaderboard, I myself drift in the evo, use s1/n3
