I was just wondering if Drifting is an interest of you guys, or its just Drifting in GT3 for the heck of it. I know for me I find anything I can on drifting. No matter what the costs. :D :D

Eh, Yeah, I noticed it wasn't right either. :banghead: I mean: Are you guys into drifting, or do you just Drift in GT3?

By "Into it" I mean either do it, watch it, or are seriously interested in doing it sometime.

I actually do drift(very little though). I'm really not that great, in fact I'm not even good. I am still trying to do a controlled doughnut, but it is hard. hard but very very fun. my dad lets me use his RPS13. it is still stock but it works. I have maybe had 2-3days seat time. I am looking forward though to getting a 240Z as my own car. I am soooo into drifting, I even go to the lengths of buying Option stuff off of E-Bay through my friend(Drift Tengoku vol.14). I want to get as much of Option(2)/Drift Tengoku magazines as I can. without a doubt, I am the most into drifting probably in MS. it started about 3-5 years ago(I would say 3 years ago) when one of my friends from cali(moved back) showed me some of his magazines. I later found out that they were Option magazines. he said he bought them from a japanese bookstore around there before he moved. since then drifting has been an important part of my life. bye.

my dad used to work for Sony and had to visit japan a few times for business. i went with him once and one of his american friends who was living over in japan had discovered the little drifting niches and took us out one night to watch it. It was pretty impressive...the sounds and the smells were great. but this was way before i got my license...i was probably 13 or so. When i got my first car (a 300ZX) i tried to replicate some of the stuff i saw. Eventually i got pretty good..i could power over and such, but i wore the car out  back then i was pretty dumb, so my next car was a '98 prelude...ouch. it was much quicker in a straight line, but the handling stunk. so just recently i bought an RX-7. it needs some engine work..but im slowly working on my skills again. i practice in the rain on low traffic roads and such..when i get the new motor it will be much easier though. initial D sort of got me back into it. but im not a huge fanboy  and i like watching the D1 stuff...its a lot more exciting to watch than some of the other powersports.

Initial D can become addictive.. :)

I'm a big fan of drifting, Real life, GT3, it's all good. I'm hoping to pick up an S13 some time in the next couple months so I'll have a chance to try drifting...I know I'm going to suck at it, but I'm sure I'll have fun anyway. :D

I've gotten really interested in Drifting in both GT3 and real life. I can't do it with my car because it's a FWD and that I don't wanna kill myself either. I try not to get too enthusiatic though because since there's such a fine line between drifting and the person just being out of control I want to try to study as much drifting as I can to improve my skill of driving and understanding taking turns.

Nick:banghead:

man im into drifting in gt3 and rl tho i dont get much rl drifting action because 1. i dont have a liscence yet.... 2. were i live theres not to much of a drifting scene. but still drifting is awesome and i love to do it on gt3. i hope one day to get a rps13 or a s13 or heck ill even take a rx-7 lol

i 'm into drifting, and i drifted by accident or u can call it over streer if u want,it was raining and i was makeing a u-turn at a light and it was turning yellow so i speed up to catch the light and half way through the turn the back end came around and i drove through it a little an then backed off the gas so i wouldn't spin out, ever since then ive been hooked...

I drift occasionally but my true love is Touge... I have a 1985 Corolla GTS coupe with a Hi-comp AE92 motor in it. Running pretty much stock for now with the exception of some NCRCA's, slotted/drilled rotors, 14X6 Black Racings, and Falken Ziex tires.

Also... XzifT... check out my friend Jay's website... he is in Michigan

Like in person, I mean..

I'm in the Detroit area. If you want to get together and do some multiplay drifting we could, or even an I-link session. PM me if you are interested.

I was gonna do a s13 as well. My rents gave me 20k to spend on a car, i was gonna get a s13 and drop and s14 engine with a yashio factory full body it. I found a website where they sell every part of the kit. Full kit was like 3700:rolleyes: . I decided to go back to gettin a supra tt or a 300z tt. Although I think the s13 woulda been a fun run.

I'm at the legal age of driving, and I don't want to ruin it by drifting on the streets now :D

I have all the tools ready. I just have to understand a few principles and then get it started.

yeah, I'd get a Supra TT if I were you. I love MKIV supras.

I want to get an s13, (fastback or coupe..doesn't matter), put a blacktop s13 sr20det in it with Tein or Kei Office coilovers, and if it's a coupe..put on an s13 silvia face and if it's a hatchback, either a kouki style bumper or s15 face and kouki taillights, with some nice lightweight wheels like volk gramlites or something. I want it for autocross and probably drifting eventually after I learn the basics of racing. I'll probably end up just buying one and driving it stock until I blow the engine or stuff starts to fall off, then modding it when I get money. Until then I have my grocery getter to drive (97 Accord). :D

my rx-7 was only $700 :D the new motor will be around 2100..its gonna have agressive street porting. the FB only weighs about 2100lbs or less the way i have it right now...shouldn't take much power to get it where i want it (200hp/2000lbs)

you guys are talking rich, i wish i was old like you guys, but im still young and cant afford a car yet, but when i get one, its going to be a 240 SX coupe and converted to an S13 headlight with my financial aide money hahahaha good luck on fixing you guys car!!!!

Wow, you are the only person on this forum other than me that is from Mississippi. What part of the state do you live in?

Since there hasn't been a reference to it yet, I couldn't help it. I don't know where the original video was located but there is one on my GTP video site: http://pergatory.net/gtp/Drifting_Compilation.mpg

One of my favorite drifting videos ever. Very similar to that WRC Linkin Park music video although not quite as flawless. (The only reference is in the thread topic.)
