drifting a integra type r

Someone uses medium tires front and sim on the back, and pushes the Brake, Throttle and E-Brake at the same time. Still looking for that myself, but no one really knows how to drift a Honda car besides the ol' E-Brake

It's ass dragging and not a real "drift". Drifting is really only meant for high - power FR, or 4WD cars with extreme camber and suspension tuning. I have the vid you speak of, even they say it not as good.

My bad... My divx codec wasn't the latest one...

Who gives a poo it's just for show, and it does a good job of that. And this "real drift" you speak of interests me, since I have only had the game about ~2½ months and I'm 65% into it, and I still suck at tuning. So if it isn't too much trouble, could I have drift settings for a LanEvo V or VII, or some tips for a setup (Hp #'s, wheel camber/toe, parts, whatever...)? Would appreciate any help...

And does anyone know where to get Gran Dorifto 1?

to drift the ITR you need to put on sport tires and increase the rear camber by one to one and a half degrees use the brake and whip the car as you enter the turn. if you do it correctly you will get a descent drift out of it.

drifting is not about settings, its about throwing a car into a turn in stock trim or with minor mods (manhandling a car)

Can't find it either.

Hm, I've been practicing with the Integra, I've found that if you severely lower the front spring rate and leave the back spring rate near the median, give the brake balance 2-24, turn off asm and tcs and give it medium tires front and sim tires back, the tail will start swinging out. This gives it better control with the e brake

BRYAN HEITKOTTER SaYS: E-Brake - Usually this isn't a very graceful way to enter a drift. I include this here because it's often the first thing that people think of, but also because it does have a purpose most people don't think of. Using the e-brake, you can actually extend a braking drift if you've entered it too early or are too slow. When you've entered a braking drift before a turn, and discovered you've done it too early and are going to shortcut the turn (or hit the inside wall if there is one), you can actually pull and hold the e-brake to make the car keep sliding on a straight path. This will also make your car reduce speed more slowly. This is more of an advanced technique to try once you've gotten the hang of the others, but I include it in here because I've found it very useful to me.

SO IT IS A REAL FRICK'N DRIFT

i'm sorry but you don't drift Integra Type R......You ass drag it, no matter what quote you have a integra type R doesn't drift......Might I add a good job of ass dragging was done in the movie, however the physics were very unrealistic

Tsk Tsk..You dont need high - power. As you put it. 200, 300 is good enough..And the camer isnt at all extreme. Extreme would be 5..its more about 2.

I remember asking Cuda about his settings for his ITR. All he did to it was put sim tires on the rear, normal tires in the front, and lots of e-brake usage. Everything else was left stock.

Actually using the e-brake is another way to initiate drift but with a FF setup you wont be drifting for long because the front tires will pull you out of it.

close but no cigar.

To drift a FF car you can use either a feint or a brake drift to set it up (or e-brake if ur a noob.) Then to continue the drift u have to use a combination of throttle AND e-braking. Because the engine is only connected to the FRONT wheels, u can actually GAS and E-BRAKE at the SAME TIME.

If u practice a bit, ur drifts will look almost exactly like rwd drifts. In my opinion its actually harder to FF drift than FR drift 'cause of the recovery. Smooth recovery is a bit harder. Aight hope that helps!!!!

For all u peeps who keep on screaming "ass-draggin" like a broken record - we know. We heard you. For the rest of the peeps just try it out and u should be FF drifting in no time!!

oh and for car set up, I just get pro suspension, 2-3 neg camber in front, 0 in back, lowered, harder spring rate, simulation tires, 0 traction, 0 asm, stage 3 lightened, stage 3 clutch etc. etc. basically the same setup as an FR drifter.

There prolly better setups but that works for me.

ok...show me a REAL car doing it...show it to me...show me a Integra Type R sliding cleanly around a corner, back end out of sync with no ebrake applied.......
You can't show me one..because it doesn't exsist...maybe you can do it in a VIDEO GAME....but a VIDEO game doesn't set REAL LIFE standards......
close
but no dice.....
who am I kidding
you wern't close at all.

Well... there is two honda car you can drift in... the MR NSX and the FR S2000, just wanted to correct you... but yeah... Front Wheel Drive cars cant really drift... people call it ass dragging... There is one really good professional FWD "Drifter" but actually other people consider it ass dragging... and btw he "Drifts" in a Civic (EG6)...

ROll

It wasn't smooth at all, but with sims, and some some practice, I'm sure I can master it. Only I problem though...

I don't give a ****. FF drifting is a joke. I'm simply stating it can kinda be done.

:D I saw a Mazada 6 drift. Looked choppy, no smoke, and it was really really twicthy..So I myself, consider is stupid, and with no practical use...Allllthough, I ebraked a Vitz around a corner the other nice and I was hooked. Great stuff. :P
