I'm new at drifting (just registered here a few days ago) Any suggestions on a car to start off with. I am secure with money i just want to know what is a good car to start with and any settings, but i noticed the Drift Settings Depot. So that seems secure. I personnally like FR but 4WD sounds like more control or so involved.

Thanks

4wd is actually easier to drift due to the fact that almost no counter-steer is needed. didn't you already start a thread like this one?

yep! that thing is the king of oversteer. once you master that beast, you can drift ANYTHING.

for u as a beginner i suggest 4wd try gtr-34 than go at drift setting depot to try the setting . ( lot of setting there )
than after u master it than u try fr but if u want to use fr make sure the hp low than 500 if not your car will spin also sim tire if u want s/soft try sheron setting ....for fr ....
so lot of drift setting . all there are our setting .....hope this will help u ...:D

I started out with a Trueno AE86 with Sheron's Setting in the Drift Setting Depot. I have been trying drifting on Apricot Hill the 1st turn but i keep spinning out. I don't know how to keep a handle on it. As soon as i start the drift and its sliding i start to hit the gas and it spins out. I'm not sure if i should just brake and when it slides that i just let it go without hitting any buttons. If anyone has suggestions let me know. I will try out the RX-7 Setting tho.

EDIT: Where can i find Cudamans RX-7 Setting??
I Can't Find it in the Drift Setting Depot

I Found the RX-7 Setting, Thanks drifterzzz.

I'll try the ZZII setting as soon as i can get a basic drift down

(i'm having problems, there in my post i made b4 this one, any suggestions would be helpful)

It seems everyone's got different color ZZII's I've got red, SpeedDrifter's got Blue, Night_Drifter's got black, and you've got yellow. ^_^

My drift cars arethe Mines Skyline and the 2 corvettes (not the Racing vette) I find that the GRAND SPORT has great handeling and alot of power for the wheels to spin.
I learned how to Drift with the Viper so I guess I got used to American Muscle drifting.

To FastPat: Does the Z06 Have a decent handle in the drift? Do you have a set-up for it and the mine's skyline??

To All: What is initial d? dont get mad. i just started a couple days ago.

Initial D is a old azz manga and a fairly new Anime that is still bring made and what not that centers around a young kid who works for his dads tofu shop and he delivers tofu in a AE86 (Toyota Trueno Sprinter) and he's good at drifting and slowly falls into the "Mountain Racing" Scene in his home town..then all of his area and other "cooincidental" crap like that..it's pretty coo, it has it's moments....You can either buy em or DL them off of a P2P program...like I did

You need to go back to school Shinez. The article "a" is only used when the following word begins with a consonant sound. When the following word begins with a vowel sound, then the artical "an" is used.
Examples:
I am an orange.
I am a pie.

Got it Shinez? Good.
