gran turismo 2 has a problem where the grip of a sliding tyre is too high in relation to that of a gripping tyre. rectified in GT3, the cars became far more predictable when sliding, outright grip was subsequenrly reduced.

I first started drifting in GT2, after awhile you can master it, just takes some time and effort, not much tunnin on my part, GT3 is more in-depth and its more tunning since the cars physics are more on...

And that eclipse is an HPI RS4 Nitro chassis with and HPI 200mm Eclipse body, i drift my R/C car as well :)...

I can drift very well in GT2 it just takes time and practice. I do however enjoy drifting in GT3 better. (It just looks soooo much better).:D ;) :D

i suck drift on gt3..but iam pretty good at gt2 witm my Mine´s Lancer...with 518hp...at seattle curcit...!!

Let's be fair, it's still drifting in GT2 even though it's less realistic than GT3. I drift in both, and I prefer drifting in GT3, but it's fun drifting in cars that I can't get in GT2. ;)

It's not that hard. I actually found it to be a little easier than GT3. GT3's physics are a little more slippery than GT2. Although I can drift in both.

Dorifto!!! :D

it's easy to lide the car in GT2, but to get a proper oppie lock drift is very difficult, the cars just want to let go once they get that far out. In GT3 you can get them more sideways and more controlably so.

I usually use normal or sport tires. Although I don't agree that the sims send you flying, you just have to use delicate throttle control.;)

i can drift in GT2 it seem the steering more responsive then in GT3.....GT3 i cant turn the damn car....iz like when i tried to turn the car , it slowly turn but it doesnt turn fast enough to make a drift....any tip on how to adjust the steering on GT3

My first drift was in GT1 at the Grand Valley East track in a Viper at the end of the straight. It's almost impossible not to drift in a Viper. Now I drift all the time, but if I'm racing a car with downforce I try and go for grip more.

In GT you can drift almost any car at that corner and that's with a race setup. I have been going through some of my Fastest Lap and Fastest Race replays on GT and I have noticed that the backend steps out on quite a few corners, especailly before I got the car Race modded. So is that drifting or do you have to have opposite lock?

I like testing the 'driftability' of stock cars. Found the trueno to be good for drift even stock. Muscle cars are good too, cuz i can always over power. But I use the dual shock to control the throttle, so its more realistic/better.

I was talking about driving a Viper without racing mods/downforce. Sometimes I'll drift..at others, I'll purposely power-slide, especially if I've gotten ahead of the other cars. If I'm racing a race-modded Viper, I'll try and go for grip..but the car will drift half the time, anyways.

One time, I managed to get a Honda Accord WAgon to slide out there (at the end of the Grand Valley straight). The back wheels were in the sand, but the front wheels still had traction on pavement, so I was able to totally circum-navigate the turn this way. Me and my buddy were racing wagons that day: Honda vs. Mugen! Mom vs. soccer mom!
