Drifting makes you stronger?

Um...I've noticed a change in the size of my right arm since I've begun drifting with a DFP. I have a theory, that with all the fast countersteering and the force feedback are causing me to get stronger.

What are your thoughts?

Though im not a drifter myself, i can see how this is possible, i've noticed the same thing through Grip driving, my upper arms have gained more stamina 👍 , which is good, but with all the shifting i do, i've also noticed more wear on my right shoulder :indiff:

I guess you could say Drift or Grip, Virtual or Real, driving can have a effect on physique(sp?) 💡

Stamina, Reflexs, Quicker hand-eye coordinates, Control of your foot when applying force.

That's all i can think of right now

EDIT: I almsot forogt the better one, makes you beter at drifting in GT4 :)

No your body heat or something makes your body get bigger if you where a racing suit before you drift and after you drift and you take it off you'll notice that it is way bigger.

Simple suggestion,go play the Le Sarthe 24hour race non-stop with a DPF with the 900 degree steering and Force Feedback set at maximum. After finishing the race, notice how big your arms are and how tired you are that you slept for the entire day and woke up losing 10 pounds!

Maybe yours is just worn out from use, but mine is really strong when you reach high speeds, like oh say 300mph.

No dude (I'm laughin here) suzuki is right it isnt that strong i just bought a new dfp and like in 2 weeks it's not that strong and who cares about 300mph not to be rude and of course its gonna get stronger and that rate of speed it's so obvious

uhm can u say WACKO..... haha im kidding but ya i belive it

You have been warned, I think.

Using the Wheel is like the 18+ videos, it takes time and strength.

A bold statement, though one that I can believe. In the real world of drifting it definately wouldn't surprise me however.

IRL, it depends on how heavy/light the wheel feels and how much information is given through the steering wheel about what the tires are doing. My shoulder/pec region has gotten sore from doing long 75minute races with the V8 formula car in LFS, but drifting for long amounts of time doesn't tire me out as much. Racecar drivers are known to have very very strong forearms. :) its why nobody can escape my grip when i'm training martial arts.

will someone close this thread it seems kinda foolish does drifting make you stronger how is that gonna be in my mind all i think is that it will make you faster thats if you dont give up

I don't think it's drifting that's made your right arm bigger....

Although I suppose it's entirely possible.

You're sure its from drifting...It's just one arm...wouldn't both get stronger...oops...he said left too...but a little late.

Yes, both of my arms have gotten better. I cant tell the difference between 60% and 100% anymore.

with the addition of the g25, my forearms have gotten slightly toned, maybe you were just really weak in the beggining ;)
Ill believe ya though
