The stock 370Z is much more progessive for drifting, R1's on the tuned model make it hard to hold the drift and it doesn't have the power to really hold the back out, it will keep coming back.

Wow i don't know what your all talking about... i have found the tuned 370z to be arguably the most driftable car i have ever driven, you can literally go side to side down the main straight then just straighten the car back up to take the corner with ease.

The fact that you can't take off the TC for the stock Z makes it retarded to even try to drift though.

If you have a wheel, Option is OFF by default. So you can floor it as much as you want :D

It is pretty easy, but I know the stock car on N3s would be a lot more fun. But I use a controller so that isn't going to happen.

The tuned car seems to ALWAYS want to step the back out and even when I'm doing hot laps it's almost impossible to keep the back straight in the tight turns. But sometimes when I'm drifting the car it gets too sticky and it doesn't want to step out, but shifting the weight makes it A LOT easier. Something like in GT5P I could just turn in and the back would come out, but in the demo it sometimes just understeers without shifting the weight.

Also, I find drifting the reverse course a lot more fun

I forgot that you are forced to have TCS on with the controller, with the wheel it is off.

That's true about the tuned car. It's too set up for racing, it grips and it turns with agility...which means you can't hold a slide. It's built not to hold slides. :P

Exactly, I really hate that TCS.

What do you mean side to side? If you mean from one end of the straight to the other, you're lying.
Yeah, it's easy to get it sliding and straighten it up, but a drift means holding a slide, and the tuned won't do that.

It has enough power to hold a drift in third easily. I love drifting the tuned 370, try hitting the 2nd gear corners in 3rd

juniordee: There were some pretty good slides in that vid mate, but how stupid it looks when you don't leave any tire marks as you drift around, so unreal, as though your tires aren't really connected to the road... :( I really hope the ultimate driving game in freakin' year 2010 will feature this essential effect...it kinda sticks in your eye in juxtaposition to otherwise eye candy graphics...weird...
