Yesterday I bought the game.
I am doing drive school but I am not able to pass 20th proof, either to get a gold in any proof.
Obviously my car is not so fast like it is required.
¿Must I buy the car of this proof and improve it?
¿Maybe I need to level up my character?

No. Driver level does not have any effect on speed in any way in GT Sport.

No. In Driving School, the car is supplied to you. You cannot use a car you have bought. Every player uses the same supplied car, so it is not the car that is not fast enough.

The 20th lesson in Driving School is "Cornering in an S-Curve: 1" and simply consists of the uphill esses at Kyoto Driving Park Yamagiwa in a Hyundai Genesis Gr.4. It's... not that difficult, though the time is relatively brief - 13.9s for gold - so the margins are small.

Did you watch the included video for that lesson? That will help you a lot.

I have seen the oficial video, starts in 3th gear, around 140-150 km/h, then 4th and 5th and finish around 200 km per hour.
In my case I never can go faster than 155-160, I have not a so huge acceleration like on the video.
¿Maybe is my Dualshock 4´s trigger?...

Yes it is... I have just change the controller and this was the problem.

Thanks for your answer, when I knew it was not a low level cause, I deduced it had to be the controller.

Anyway, I think I am going to buy this:

Very exciting challenges, wish I could relive that time. GTS was the step I needed that helped me get so much better at racing.

Before you buy read reviews about the wheel, and also the pros & cons about it. If you want to be serious about racing games, buy a wheel that costs a few hundred or a bit more.
If you don't take racing games that seriously, well that wheel might be ok for you.

I saw a bad review on youtube and I decided not to buy it, because it is true on Amazon people reviews is about the first days and not what happens in 5 or 6 months.
I will play with a controller and if I see that I continue playing I will think about a wheel, but first I need to discover if I will play for a long time.

That's a good 💡 to do that because if you think you are playing it more, well it s time to get a wheel and maybe an racing rig as well if you got room for it.

Honest review for the lot from me is that u less you are going to invest massive amounts of time then a controller is all you need. I hit 45k DR on a controller and I know people made World Tour events on them. Just stick to that until you figure out how involved and invested you are as the basics you learn on the controller will translate to the basics of car control on the wheel.

Amazon people review bias is not where you do research on simulator racing . YouTube has more subject related reviews on it and is more entertaining.
GTS in my opinion is both a game and a driving simulator depending what you are looking for . The controller will help you make the driver you want to be. I was surprised there was a poll taken ( could be bias) a few years ago that there was more adults aged between 25 and 70 using GTS on a PS4 console then teenagers that tells me I maid a good choice .
