This has got to be the worst online mode in any game released ever.

It justs rediculous, everyone trys to spin/hit/flip your car at every turn. Whats worse is they can push me off the road, flip their car in the process and be back on the road faster by just pressing select.

More often than not, its a trophy w hore trying to get their little platinum which requires them to win the duel championship.
 
Is it possible to create a room and invite friends or is it random? If its the former why not invite some friends?
 
yes that mode with public lobby is just unplayable. full od idiots .. and the trophy is mad, you have to win 7 rounds that at least are 14 races in a row playing with idiots.
 
It's not just the driver duel championship, happens in pretty much all the races. I get pushed off the track very often, even when leaving lots of space for faster people to overtake me. Also tried catchup pack earlier, 2 people just parked their cars sideways on the track to block the faster car, where's the fun in that. Not like there's any reward for winning anyway.

Many problems with online, one of them being able to reset your car. This should not be possible online. Many people only abuse this feature. And the magnetic car problem when hitting someone, just ruins the whole online experience for me. Always get dragged off the track with whoever hits me, or other way around if I would make a mistake and hit someone else. Only problem is that I want the platinum trophy so I'll have to at least play online for 10 hours.
 
The reset button for online is my biggest problem with online. With alot of people its a race to the first corner and first one to hit reset wins. I think if it was removed it would help online alot.
 
There should be some sort of driver rating for online play. Number of crashes, number of races finished compared to number of races started, etc.
 
Like every game online is just full of idiots.. in racing game you notice this even more. Play a racing game in a public lobby is impossible. I don't care cause i'm not a fan of the online but it bothers me when i can't get the platinum due to insane trophies connoncted more to the lack of idiots than your skills.
 
Ohh yes indeed, the driver duals are populated by loons, thats for sure

A pity, because the base idea is a good one imo 👍

wow, was able to beat it....was hell. 5 out of the 7 opponents were punters...only hope was to get my shifts amazing off the start and break deep into the first corner if I was in front.

It's just sad trying to pass them as they just turn right into you.
 
I had some great races with friends. Just like any other game the trick is to keep it private on-line.

Unfortunately, not every mode has invite option...
 
I just tried couple of times this mode, cause i want to make platinum trophy and this seems to be impossible with random option, or you have to had like enormous luck to win there without any crashing :/
 
@ ussr: I feel your pain, for me its exactly the same! Yesterday I thought that I got lucky in the quarterfinal by having an easy car/track combo and an opponent with good stats but he just smashed me in the wall 2 times and off he went! I m back at round 3 or quarterfinal or whatever but its just a torture! :yuck:
