I'm looking for a driver who could take this car around the Nurb. Nordschleife and post the best lap possible. The reason is that I'm trying to set a baseline of a lap time so I can try to match it. I think this would allow me to learn to tune a car and to improve my time. It should be noted that there are some partial modifications made and they can be changed and adjusted to achieve the desired goal. I'm using this car on a series race and it feels like adjusting the settings of additional parts is getting out of control (mainly due to lack of time and experience in tuning).

After the time is posted, I'm planning on adjusting the tune settings to match the best lap time. Feel free to post your settings. However, it would not make too much of a difference since everyone has a different driving style. If interested please PM me to set the arrangements.

The car is a standard.

So far:
-Engine overhaul
-Engine tuning stage 1
-Racing Filter
-Fully adjust. Suspension
-Weight Reduction: lvl 1
-Cat Converter Sports
-ECU Tuning
-Clutch Twin-plate
-Flywheel Semi-racing

Will add:
-Full customize transmission
-LSD adjustable
-Aerokit

I will be adding information periodically as this thread grows. Hopefully I'll get some help.

I appreciate the time, Thanks.

PD: The next race is on Tuesday September the 20th.

Edit:

To all awesome drivers:

Please refrain yourselves from attempting this "challenge". Your submission may cause serious harm to my feelings. (Joke)

The best thing is for you to do it yourself. Then you'll only have yourself to beat. If you get an awesome driver to set it, but you're not that good, then you'll never beat it, and feel down on yourself.

what are the partial allowable modifications to be made?

is this a std or premium car?

Guess you don't know me.
I can do all the Nordsch's with a X1 without crashing.
I can set the best possible time tomorrow.
Add me: Maxymilan.
The Nür is my home!

btw: Check my sig.

Excellent. I will add you as soon as I get on the network. You will need to borrow the car though.

Rideheight lowest for ultimate downforce for the corners.
Brakebalance 5-6. The Nürburgring has much corners.
You did 10-5. Not good.
Manual transmission
No assists.
No ABS.
Transmission:
Top Speed 280.
You tuned it but forgot to raise that.
It only accelerated faster but didn't go faster.
So this settings are the best, you can use assists but assist slow you down.
Hope you are happy.

PS: Nice car, if i braked a little bit too hard it made a lot of smoke without losing grip :D

I wasn't sure why you were requesting that. It all makes sense now. Thanks for clarifying that for me. Sorry if it seem like I was ignoring you there. I'm not the only one person using the PS3 at home. There a lot of netflix going on in my PS3 as well.

I didn't set it too low because of how bumpy it is. I tried to compensate that with a softer suspension. The breaking balance was something I was experimenting a little bit with. 5-6 sounds good. And I'm not sure how you got 280 out of it. I'll try that out. I feel like you can either go slow at the straight and fast at the turns or the other way around at Nurb.

What tires did you use? My biggest concern is how to last 7 laps with little pit strategy and without sliding all over the place because of totally worn out S3 tires. You got any input on this?

Thanks for the time dude.

lol you want to do 7 laps on a set of tires? save yourself the hassle of wondering how well steel rims grip the road after 4 laps, and change the tires!

Unfortunately, rules are rules. I was about to blow it off because that is going to be a very irritating race. Even if I had to pit every lap, knowing Nurb, and how I drive, i'll be needing new tires after a minute in.

if that was a rule, to do 7 laps without a pitstop, my concern would not be fastest time, but just a sole survivor. I am guessing no camber, no toes, soft suspension and dampers, raised ride height, reduced weight, no downforce, tall gears (so slippage on tires) and smooth scenic driving for the win. mix in early braking with engine decel, and apex exits in next gear. low brake balance, ABS on 8. No hot red tire icons.

I used sport normal or something.
That was your best set.
Try to learn the ideal line.
The cars won't smoke fast and you keep more speed in the corners and don't have to brake that much.
And (maybe) you go slower on the straight because of the downforce.
It's big and open so the car gets
pushed to the ground.
This happens to My X2010's too.
They drive 70km/h less hard.
The Alfa doesn't got THAT much downforce but who knows...

btw: ABS on 7/8 is good for the tyres.
Use that! :)

Im gonna set the cruise control at 40mph. Maybe i'll survive that way. Haha.
