Hey, just wondering who here uses driving aids - ASM or TCS.
Personally, I won't use ASM, and very rarely use TCS. High power, 2 wheel drive cars only.

Ditto.

i find that if you want to improve your driving, turn off asm and only a small amount of tcs (like level 1 or 2). the car will be very hairy to drive, but you learn to control the car much better than with all those computer aids.

to counter some of the ill effects of lowering the tcs, i soften the suspension setting slightly to gain some traction back.

The first time I raced without ASM/TCS was also the last time I used ASM/TCS.

Maybe it's just me, but it's nice to kick out the rear end every now and then. Although I find some high powered cars are harder to launch from a dead stop, I gain a lot more speed in the corners, especially when using low power cars, and have greater overall control of the vehicle.

Cheers :)

I almost finished GT3 with the driving aids on. Then I started in some on line races, and turned them off for the first time. I haven't used ASM since, but sometimes I use a little TCS depending om the car and the track. :)

I use both on "race" cars or cars that you would expect to find both on. For the older cars (Cobra, Mini, etc) I turn them both off given it would be rather silly to drive them with. I also like both the TC and ASM turned off on all the RUFs.

ASM=off, I just hate being thrown to the outside line on the track.

TCS at 1-3. I'm trying to drive without ever setting the TCS to blinking. I'm finding that technique is gaining me faster lap times.

I never use driving aids... Back in the day, I used to, but since I started playing again, no TCS or ASM. Now I just need that new Logitech Driving Force Pro wheel, and then we'll see how hard this game is.

I rarely use TCS, never ever use ASM though. . . I like having the ability to use a power slide, especially on Apricott hill during a hot lap :D

I turn them both off except for F1 cars and the top tier racing cars(GT-One, 787b, etc). For the F1's I turn them to 2-3 each.

I drift, I hate being unable to oversteer a little at least.

Bollocks, you use TCS, I'm ashamed!

I use No driving aids what-so-ever. And to add a little bit more to this topic, Who uses Auto and who uses Manual - I use manual.

i drift more than I grip race so ASM and TCS are a big no no for me..they make it less exciting.

after driving with drivers aid completely off and practicing on various cars, i've returned to using mild drivers aid as a tuning device to decrease my lap times. usually i'll set 1 or 2 on TCS and 0-3 of ASM depending on track and suspension setup.

i dont use any tcs or asm any more but a long time ago i used to,and i also use manual at all times.
i just dont like driving with auto tranny any more because it just dosent seem right to do that if i can drive good with manual and same thing with tcs, asm.

I turned off the ASM feature cos it stinks but I still use the TCS because I am using a DS2 controller so its a bit difficult to apply gentle throttle pressure.:odd:
