Alright folks I have decided to post up a thread towards driving challenge mode. As if right now I'm starting on the C section because I'm still trying to obtain all golds. Like this one.

Heres some advices:

C-1: car loves to drift a lot. If you keep it to a minimum, you should do fine. Don't touch the grass or lose too much speed while turning.

C-2 Cut through the grass patch on the first turn but not too much. The car will overteer when you pass the final curve so be careful.

C-3 Keep to the right before you encounter the first turn. If the rally car's rear touches the wall, don't panic, chances are you can probably go on without a fail. Wall riding is out of the question. Make sure your car does not steer in the opposite direction of the turn you are taking. It never ends well.

C-4 Dedicated to peterjford. Alright now for this one, you must turn on the dime without losing too much speed. keep the car from entering too late on each turn as they are sharp for a tight turning of a car. The first turn I slowed down when the car reached 84 mph. turn to the inner apex, and maintain a steady speed of 50-56mph. After the long road, try not to make the car go too slow on a gearshift. it will take forever to reach up to a normal pace. I slew down at 99 mph, brakes are applied, then crusied on at Around 40 mph on the s turn.Then slew down to 20-28 mph to cross the rest. Then afterward, crossed the finish line.

C-5: The massive grand canyon is not a big fan of late braking and overspeeding. Avoid it and you should be fine. Slow down when the START sign vanishes. You may want to drift towards the wall on the left when doing the first curve. When a turn requires you to go on gear 1, Go around 20 mph. Rinse and repeat you should be fine.

C-6: The name says it all. Braking on unstable conditions. First curve, kept to left sided apex, next turn, went to right side of apex, once reached 118 mph, I slew down to 45 mph. Made a good yet sharp left turn. Avoid touching the grass to the right afterwards when completing the last turn. Believe me it makes me want to :banghead:

A Section

Basic and easy learning. Heres my records on this section:

A-1: 0'09.754
A-2: 0'12.657
A-3: 0'16.555
A-4: 0'15.718
A-5: 0'24.945
A-6: 0'13.337

A-1 Brake at 43 mph

A-2 Brake at 65 mph

A-3 Brake at 92 mph

A-4 Brake at 96 mph (The second it reached 96)

A-5 Stay at the left side until you have to slow down. Used Brakes at 95 mph. Turn right to the inner portion of the apex. As long as you don't let go of that steering you'll be fine.

A-6 Keep going straight until you reach 92 mph. Turn first then use brakes. Cruise around 40 mph in the middle to inner portions of that turn.

B Section

My records

B-1: 0'16.895
B-2: 0'12.389
B-3: 0'13.310
B-4: 0'16.259
B-5: 0'23.398
B-6: 0'24.385

B-1 align the right side of the wheels within the apex and maintain a steady 50-58mph range

B-2 You don't have to use brakes on this one. Take the turns as softly as you can. Don't cause speed to drop

B-3 Use brakes when you 72 mph. Slow down to 38 mph. Keep turning and accelerating. Don't let the car move too fast on the curve

B-4 This tricky car likes to oversteer. Be aware of that. Keep to the right. Slow down at 95 mph to 73 mph and avoid that cone when making the left turn.

B-5 make left, then right, slow down to gear three just as the car flies in the air. Make a drift turn to the inner right side of the acsending road.

B-6 Stay on the left side. Brake after you rach 99 or 102 mph until you are in the 70's. Make sure most of the turns you make are in the inner parts. After the first turn, stick to the middle then resume turning the in the left side.

D section
my records

D-1: 0'23.062
D-2: 0'18.927
D-3: 0'12.568
D-4: 0'17.971
D-5: 0'20.894
D-6: 0'13.818

D-1 Stay on the right side. When the turn approachs, turn left. Brakes aren't exactly needed.

D-2 Brake at 108 mph. Stay at right side. Turn and carefully accelerate at the 40 mph range. If the car is drifting, countersteer to prevent loss of acceleration

D-3 Car likes to oversteer. Stay on the left side until the turn approachs. Slow down and turn to the inner right side few seconds aftering entering the turn. Keep it from oversteering.

D-4 This is annoying. Use a really small amount of brakes on each turn. Don't let the car drift either.

78->77
84->81
82->77-78

D-5 keep the car from over steering. Use brakes on the first turn. Then the rest you can either use brakes like the first turn or let go off the gas on the rest. I personally made a minor grass cut on the first turn.

D-6 Like the one seen since GT 1 til now, all you have to do is brake and turn smoothly. No new mysteries here.

More coming soon.....

I started GTPSP over and got gold in all challenges yesterday. I think the most annoying one was the one with the Cizeta V16T at Infineon in mastering supercars. Took me a lot of attempts, and I got extremely close to it many times, only a few thousandths of a second off, but finally got it.

You got all golds? I've only just done the first half of missions on gold.

I assume that this is the place to request help rather than open a new thread like I did recently ? I have 2 left to gold;

N-6 BMW M3, overtake 3 at Grand Valley. I pass 3rd place on the start straight, 2nd place at the hairpin - sometimes before, but then I suck at the rest.

0-4 Viper Race Car, overtake 2 at Laguna Seca. I go 2nd before the first left hander and then cannot catch the leader.

Using previous GT mission experience I am thinking about buying both cars when they next come up and putting in some practice with the driving line on, and then going back to retry. But, as both cars are quite a few days away, does anyone have any specific tips that may help with either challenge in the meantime ?

Thanks.

Practice with the driving line should help. Someone might post links to some youtube videos of gold medal runs, or you could search there. Those helped me with one (but I still haven't gotten gold yet).

O-4 golded. I changed my line through the left hander at the bottom of the hill to get better drive out. I also had a lot of problems getting hit by the lead car (even when in front) causing a fail, but perseverance prevailed. Just N-6 left. I will take a break and get some more tracks up to S level, buy the M3 and then practise (similar method to how I did Mission 34 many moons ago) to get sub 2m lap times and go for it over the coming days.

N-6 golded. I have just done it 3rd go this evening. I caught the leader on the left hander after the tunnel - I could not believe it, I almost punted him off in surprise, LOL. Feels good, now to get my camera.
