Driving Force EX handbrake and shifter

Hey everyone, I have the old DF EX and I was wondering if it was possible to create a sequential shifter and a handbrake for it. I saw on another post how nurburing did it with his DFP but since the DFP only connects to the PS2 through a USB port, it's possible to simply connect another controller through the regular controller ports and use that for a shifter and handbrake. The DF EX has to plug into a USB port and a controller port at the same time.

Is there a way of using nurburing's method with the DF EX? Maybe theres some sort of adapter out there that you can plug two controllers into and have that plug into one of the PS2 ports? I don't really want to open up the steering wheel but if it comes down to that I guess I will.

Um hey

U don't have to plug the dfex in the controller port at the same time. I have one and just use the USB port only. Works in every driving force supported game(thats pretty much every racing game) with no problems.

I have my normal ds2 plugged in to the contoller port and the dfex in the usb. I never thought about setting up a hand brake and shifter though. Can you link me to the dfpro article so i can try it?

zdenko: Really? I actually never thought about that. I tried unplugging the controller wire from the port and leaving the usb in and it didn't work. I think this was because I was playing GT2 though. Maybe it'll work with a PS2 racing game... I'll have to give it a shot.
