Driving force EX problem...No steering resistance

PS3.

Can't seem to get any weight or resistance on the wheel.
If I drive over rumblestrips I can feel that fine but there is no option for steering strength.
Tried altering things in the advanced menu, similar to the G25 settings but no change.

I'm right at the beginning and the Audi S4 is almost impossible to control.
Do cars further down the line bring more turning resistance?
It's worse than driving on ice, like I have unplugged the power to my wheel.
I don't want to buy a new wheel as this one is great for GT5, GR2 and LFS.

Anyone got the same budget wheel as me with any tips.

I just got around to completing Shift 1 last night and there was no problem in that game.

Cheers

Turn the deadzones to zero and put the steering angle to 900 degrees.

The S4 is a poor car anyway, i've modded mine a bit and its still got snap oversteer issues.

This wheel will only set at 200, so I'm stuck. I'll try the deadzone thing as a last resort but I think I'm changing to the PC version.

Cheers though mate.

Hi dude,
I am using an EX on PS3 and am having no problems. Here are my settings (the important ones, from memory):

Steering Sensitivity = 5%
Steering Deadzone = 0%
Speed Sensitivity = 50%
Peddle Deadzones = 0%

The most important setting it seems to me is Steering Sensitivity and this is where most people are going wrong. You need to turn it DOWN. Start at zero then slowly turn it up. Believe me it works.

Also, the EX doesn't have any 'auto-setup' when you plug it in like some of the more expensive wheels do. When you start your first race pause it, spin the wheel full lock one way, then full lock the other way, then back to centre. This seems to 'initialise' the wheel.

Best of luck.

Maybe you need to turn it down foir wheels with little rotation but for wheels with more rotation you need to turn it at least till 50%.

have you updated the game with 1.01 patch? becase is that one the erase the ffb.. also on my dfgt and other g27.
