Driving force GT Red Dial 'slipping'?

Hey guys

My DFGT RA dial seems to be having problems. I can bring up the menu OK, but when I move the dial, it's not adjusting the way it used to.

Instead of the 'click/bump' I used to feel which would adjust one step up or down, it often doesn't change anything at all. Then sometimes it will move things down multiple steps.

It's getting more difficult to get it set correctly. I often spend time trying to get from a setting of 5 to 2 and am turning things down, then up, down, up, and it's driving me crazy!

Anyone familiar with this or aware of any fixes for this?

It happens on my DFGT as well, which is about 5yrs old, but has only been used heavily since GT5 launch. Mine works more reliably to lower settings than to increase them (ie, turning counterclockwise works better than clockwise). The only workaround I've found is to have a DS3 handy, with buttons remapped on it to modify the R/A settings.

If it's broken, you could always replace the faceplate control board. It might seem like a daunting DIY repair, but it's really not bad. Just a lot of unscrewing stuff and then it's plug & play. Here's one on Ebay.
