This is more towards those members who have/use a wheel to play GT4 with, so as the title implies, how do you drive ?, both hands at 10 and 2 ?, 1 hand on the wheel, the other on the shifter ?, 1 finger steering ?, knee's ?, teeth ? (:scared: ), and how about your Footwork ?, 1 foot per pedal ?, Left resting somewhere, with the Right for Gas and Brake ?

Also i am new here, but not new to GT4, just thought i'd say hi with a new thread on a topic that hasn't really been covered like this.

Edit* Forgot to put mine, I drive a mix of One hand steer and WRC influenced steering, and for Footwork my left rests on a 'make-shift' footrest/clutch area, while i use the Right for Gas and Brake

left hand 12, right hand shifter. Left food clutch(dead pedal in GT4 >.<), and right foot on gas at all times unless braking. Sometimes when on a track with lots of turns (the Ring) I have my hands on 9 and 3

Both hands for steering, legs for throtteling and braking :) Left leg for braking, right for throtteling. Gearing by right hand, I use a sequential shifter stick.

I use the DFPro wheel because I like the force feedback. I drive with both hands on - 10 and 2 position using the sequential shifter pads behind the wheel. Left foot braking. I tend to drive C-class and LMR cars which also use the sequential shifter technology.

When GT5 comes out I hope to buy the G25.

when i play GT4 i usually race with full concentration so my driving position would be how it should be when racing real cars.
-2 hands on the wheel, always!
-9 and 3 o'clock hand positions on the wheel but 8 and 4 during long straightaways (for resting your hands and arms)
-in GT4, only in the rally do i let go of the wheel and do one hand steering as i give more steering outside the crossed arms lock while downshifting. but in on-road races you really dont need to hand shuffle the wheel. hand stays in 9 and 3 positions.
-i used the shifter knob more often in the DFP, and when i shift i do it calmly with full intent and follow through
-since DFP has no clutch, i got 1 foot for each pedal. you would be a tad faster since in this way you can do instantaneous and minute adjustments while cornering, just like in karting. Different story when using G25 with GTR2.

Depends, when i'm in a really fast car or when i'm close to an opponent i race with both hands on the wheel.
I shift using the right ring finger and pinky.
When i'm racing with a slower car i just use 1 hand to steer and shift.
As long as the car's suspension isn't to stiff you don't really need 2 hands to keep the steering wheel steady.

Pedal control depends on the mood. Sometimes i use my right foot for both, sometimes i use both feet.

I use both hands, both feet off course and when I shift I take my right hand off the wheel except for my thumb and shift 👍
