Lamborghini Veneno, dark red with some black paint. It was definitely very low and looked wider than an Aventador. Also, when I glanced back in the rear view mirror, it definitely looked very much like the back of a Veneno.

Now, I'm guessing this is pretty much impossible right, considering there are only three of them in existence on the road? If it wasn't a Veneno, could it be some kind of kit car or a customized Aventador??

Have a picture to show us?

I wish I did mate :(

Problem was I was driving in one direction and it was in motion driving passed the other way but even when I saw it quite a bit up the road before it reached me I thought "Is that a bloody Veneno??"

I mean, the chances are pretty much one in a billion but do Lamborghini do any other cars which can be mistaken for the Veneno?

Where in the world are you?

I think it's @McLaren who knows quite a bit about Lamborghinis, he might be able to tell you where the Venenos ended up and if one was likely to be near you.

Hey Roo, I'm near St Albans in Hertfordshire. Just checked Youtube and seen a few vids of a dark red (wine red) Veneno Roadster which looked exactly like the colour I saw. I mean, I've seen a couple of Aventadors around but this was distinctly different. It was a Lambo but very low, very wide and very aggressive, more so than an Aventador. You know it's a Lambo when you see one, they are probably one of the most distinctive cars on the planet lol.

Yeah, the more I'm looking into it, the more I'm finding. Looks like two in California (silver and matte black); the ones in the Jalopnik article were of New York and Florida ownership.

I hadn't been keeping up with what new supercars are being pumped out recently, but my god this thing looks amazing.

*ED. - Wiki says three coupes and nine roadsters...

Some of the replies here are kind prickly, OP seems to have a genuine query, even if the thread title could be better. If anyone really posts anything here as "clickbait" then I can only feel sorry for them.

That was my impression too, Tyger. It was just a simple query. If people aren't interested, then just don't bother replying to it. Simple as.

If you feel that way, why bother even replying in the first place? Miserable sod.

Because such things are a rot that is infecting the internet. Let me ask you this, why didn't you mention the Veneno in your thread title?

Also this thread kinda sums up my feelings about it... https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...-dysagt-opinion-seeking-thread.302709/page-45

But there's also this one https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/did-you-see-anything-good-today-read-first-post.78950/, or at a real stretch this one https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...ay-event-and-showroom-edition.118094/page-125, or perhaps this one might have been more suitable... https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...ersary-veneno-lambos-fastest-car-ever.269620/

Anyway, sorry to be such a ....

ha ha, made ya click!

.. about it.

St. Albans is a town on the outskirts of London, affluenza central. It's not too far out of the realms of possibility to see a Veneno roadster there.

But this isn't the DYSAGT thread. The OP was simply asking if it would be impossible to have seen a Veneno. He is even doubting it himself. I would agree though that that thread title wasn't ideal, but hardly worthy of such a reaction.

Exactly, which is what the OP was trying to establish. It's still unclear exactly how many Venenos were released into the wild.

I'd be jealous if the OP saw one.

For some reason, the Veneno just makes me think "banana" when I read the name.

Agreed. I've driven through St Albans and saw an Aston DB4 being casually driven down the road. Veneno in St Albans could easily be owned by some uber-wealthy local or someone out for a drive from London. Also, it's not uncommon for sheikhs to bring their supercars over from the Middle East to show off in the UK in summer...

Mystery is over guys. I was wrong, not a Veneno (which I always thought was practically impossible) but an Aventador LP750-4 SV. Saw it again as I was teaching one of my pupils to drive near to where I live. Hadn't seen one even on the Internet before so had no frame of reference. Still, pretty darn rare
