Madrid City Course Drift Trial
This Drift Trial event takes place on the Madric City Course. Only rear wheel drive non-race cars are allowed, and there are no restrictions on tuning.

Chamonix West Drift Trial
This Drift Trial event takes place on the Chamonix West. There are no restrictions on car models or tuning, but snow tires are required.

What you guys think about these new drift trials? I personally like the Chamonix one, something different this time 👍
 
Damn I hate drifting on snow :lol:
Got to find other car than Buick to do it.. (Got 11658pts 2nd try with buick :) )
 
Madrid city drift is quiet annoying. I suck on that course!! ... haven't tried the snow yet. Best on madrid city was like 5k :scared:

Try using a smaller car. I found the bigger cars(speed 12) couldn't get space. But something like the FR-S was perfect.

Nah TVR12 is just perfect...just did bit over 20k pts :)
 
Would anyone mind sharing there tvr setup ,i have 2 of the cars but not a clue on how to setup the beast lol

Hmm. Done chamonix.. First I was like; Well, let's earn the cash and go. But it turned out pretty fun with the RS6 '02 and managed to get 10XXX @84th place!

I'm having a hard time on this one. I almost never drift on snow before. Can you share your rs6 tune please?
 
Managed to get 10,750 points @ Chamonix yesterday with Buick Special. That was 26th positions for a while but now when i checked i already had dropped down to 78th:tdown:

But heres the setup, this felt super easy to drift on snow. And I'm not a very good drifter so someone of you could propably do much better points:)

I use the tune that JK83 made. It was used for DT #41 @ Grand Valley Speedway and the tune is posted in the thread for that event.

It is pretty slippery when you accelerate but a slight change in the Torque Distributor will probably make it more 4WD.

The tune is from a '08 RS6 as you can copy it for the '02 model 👍
 
Got 14,xxx in mt S15 at Madrid had a mistake and lost a 1,000 points and only 7,500 at chamonix in a C5 vette.
 
I used a stock 2006 corvette Z06 for Madrid, easy car to drift. For Chamoix I used the Audi RS6 Avant with the same tune from a previous drift trial at Grand Valley, got gold on the first try.

UCD and fully tuned...I dont recomend it for starters anyway (I dont know your skills tought :) )

I'm not very skilled at drifting. I just try to gold the seasonals for the credit/XP, not for the leader boards. I still haven't got gold in Madrid city yet, I cant find a nice car or I just don't have control lol closest I got was like 6.5k : scared:
 
Do you guys seriously need tunes to drift? i did both trials, first try with a stock Lancia Stratos (road version), just drift, OMG, stop asking for tunes and set ups, if you can't drift it stock (whichever car) then you just suck.

Never seen you on top10 on your stock lancia I guess...
So move on nothing too see here..

You can probably get gold with a stock, but give tuning a shot. GT has so many ways to fine tune your car, I don't know why you aren't doing it. For the most part, the rewards of tuning are pretty awesome!

I can 100% sure get gold from DT's stock car but Im chasing bigger rewards :sly:
 
Used Audi Quattro at 497pp (around 300bhp) for Cham, as it is Car of the Week. Hard work though even with 90% drive at rear wheels.

Tried something different for Madrid: slightly tuned C63 AMG got me silver, and gold with slightly tuned M5. Neither setup for drift or especially well suited for this track. If I have time I'll go back with the Shelby Cobra to try and up my points. It works well for tight slow drifts with the huge torque.
 
chamonix was first "gggrrr" but then "ahaaaaa"....
When i looked at the rankings to be confirmed that everyone used the speed12 as usual i had to laugh because 2nd place at that time was my real life car...fiat coupe 20v turbo...so funny...(and proud!!!)...

Use car dealership as far as I know. If you want the speed 12 to hold this event, trust me, you don't need it. I used a tuned supra and it was a lot of fun.

I did today with Midget almost 15k pts and it was realy fun :lol: bored bit TVR12 now ...I can post youtube vid later tonight\tomorrow :)
