Great race for us in the US series!
Some real close and clean racing on the opening laps betwen me and S4, but unfortunatelly a second of lag costed him dearly, he gave me a tap on the left side going into the chicane and damaged his engine. I got minor damage but was able to continue on with my strategy.
Was a good solid race till I got nailed by some lagging laped traffic on lap 27 on the run up to the chicane, wich forced me to pit with heavy engine and suspension damage. I saw my 15 second lead dissapear as I crawled back to the pits. Out of sequense and off strategy due to the uncheduled pit stop I had to push hard to make the time up.
Managed to get back to the front as the others made their stops and managed to build a 15 second gap, wich started to fall in the closing laps as S4 started to shoot me down lap by lap. At the end we crossed the line 5 seconds apart for a Mercedes 1-2.
Great race everyone! Looking forward to the next one!

Euro Series Race 2

Had a great race! Everyone raced clean and was a lot of fun. There were constant battles for for 3,4,5,6th places, with some tight and fast racing from a few of the racers. Great turnout tonight, we had 8 racers. I will post up results soon, (tomorrow after I get off work).

Hope the EU contingent had a close and hard fought race!

It was a great race indeed! I had a terrible start of the race. Right at the end of lap 3 got a little loose and got taged hard on the back. As a result I had to do a complete lap with heavy damage to the entire right side and engine, loosing a lot of time, then to add insult to injury got into the barrier hard on lap 5 making me pit immediately! That's 2 pit stops in less than 10 laps.
From this point on it was all putting my foot down and making up time. About 18 laps in I picked the first racer up as he made a mistake. Soon after within a lap he retired from the race. Kept on going till lap 21 to make my next stop. From there started to make ground fast on the guy in front of me.
At about lap 27 picked another position as the car in front made his pit stop, kept on going till my next and final stop in lap 35 I think. Quickly after that on lap 37 picked another position as he made his final stop. He was quickly making ground on me on the closing laps as he was on fresh tires and mine were starting to wear. By lap 40 he was on my back bumper, I was holding for dear life as he was right there on every corner on every braking spot. Finally on lap 41 he made a small mistake right before the tunnel, suddenly gained 3 seconds on him and had room to breathe again. Crossed the finish line in 4th place with 5th only 5 seconds behind.
What a great race! Haven't been for my early and costly mistakes I think 3rd place was very possible for me.
Got to congratulate S4 and ImolaRed, don't think I had the pace to keep up with you guys! You are on a league of your own!

Well thank you sir ...It was a solid race from everyone tonight! I'm really looking foward to Deep Forrest Raceway next weekend, It's one of my most favorite tracks. 👍

Unfortunatly the European series race had a lot of problems. Firstly my hdmi cable stopped working at 8:10pm GTM. Had to drive to the shop to buy a new one. Didn't get the game on until about 8:40pm GMT. Then we had the problems with Nicnew and Goruk not being able to get in the race room. Lots of frantic PSN msgs later, we got symp to setup a new room. Everytime i joined though it would knock nicnew and goruk out of the room!?! Reset the room again with symp being the sole host and that seemed to work. But it was too late for nicnew. He gave up trying to connect and qualifying started at 10:15pm GMT with just 3 drivers.

Goruk took pole in his Audi TT-R with symp in 2nd in his Merc CLK. I took up my position at the back in my Audi TT-R.

On lap 2, a mistake by Symp at La Rascasse let JT past and let Goruk extended his lead. The damage to Symp caused him to pit on lap 6, ruining his race chances.

JT takes the lead on lap 13 as Goruk is forced to pit early after extensive damage.

His lead lasts less than 2 laps as Goruk (right) restakes the lead at Piscane.

Goruk has to pit again due to damage and JT again passes him for the lead.

JT (left) then makes a mistake at casino, due to his 21 lap old tyres, to let Goruk back infront. The two cars came together meaning they both had to pit at the end of the lap. This let Symp back into the race as he passed JT into 2nd.

Symp pitted on lap 22 an JT retook 2nd place and Goruk built on his lead.

Goruk pits on lap 30. Having built up a large lead, he remains 10 seconds ahead of JT as he leaves the pits.
Symp pits again on lap 31 after a heavy collision at the Nouvelle Chicane.

JT pits for last time on lap 34. The gap between him and Symp is reduced to 19 seconds as he leaves the pits. Symp has a spin at Sainte Devote on lap 38 as Goruk pushes to lap him.

After seeing the replay i cant believe how clear my race was. 3 minor collisions in 41 laps. 1 because of my tyres giving out, 1 because my tyres were cold and 1 because...must have been tired. Very happy with that!

Might i just add, well done to PD for the replay update.👍 It was a joy to watch the replay, jumping car to car, without that screen popping up all the time.

Jav anyone can race in any series race but, only one per week. Also, you only get overall championship points not individual series points (see rules page). You are welcome to join us if you want. We (Symp, Goruk and myself) discussed moving the day of the European series race. We decided on Friday nights as we all would have preferred a weekday race. A weekend series was decided on because that's what the majority wanted at the start of the series. Alas, non of those people have raced with us yet so, we have decided to change. Full confermation on this will be early next week and i will pm everyone too. It doesn't affect the North American Series. You guys can still race on Saturdays (or if you want a change too, you can discuss it aswell).

Lol!! I hope not! It would've a stupid move on my part if I did that, hope I didn't I'll be mad if I did.
Thank's for the clarification on race elegibility, I will stay with the US division as there seems to be more people racing here at this time.

Goruk, i think it was just the way the replays work that made your car messed up. In my replay you were lagging all the time but, you were not lagging in the race though. The lagging in the replay made you hit the barriers in just about every lap but, you were still doing 1:34s!! I'm sure it was just the replay because you would have been in the pits constantly if you were driving like that the whole race. You were well lit up! Good race though. Didn't realise how many lead changes we had until the replay.
