In the display settings which monitor is on what side? use the identify button and then if you move your mouse to one side it will either stop or go to the other monitor and vice versa.

Holy shizzles, its the edit button!

The first one is where the mouse is. THe first monitor is liek the main one, its the one showing this page right now. The second is just plain right now. But when i play a game, ie gunbound, the second monitor gets a border and the recycle bin goes over there :odd:

If you don't have a wallpaper then the second one will look blank? You can configure and move each monitor for the appropriate res and placement in the main display settings window. If your playing a game you can't use two monitors, at least from what I've experienced. Part of it is that the resolution changes to the games set res.

Both monitors show my wallpaper, BUT, i cant move the mouse to the second monitor, and this is the main reason i did this for AutoCAD and Photoshop 7. Have the workspace on one and the tools on the other.

Did you check the box at the bottom of the Display settings window that says " extend my windows onto this monitor"? You have to have your secondary monitor selected for this

What videocard/s are you using? I am using ATI's 9600XT with a DVI to VGA adapter and my dual monitor setup works fine. Perhaps you do not have any multiple monitor software installed? ATI uses Hydravision to enable the multiple monitor software.

That is really weird though. The "Extend my windows desktop onto this monitor should allow you to use it like your primary monitor.

 I got it guys thanks, i have to switch the monitors because the way i have these setup i have to go to the opposite side of the primary monitor to switch over.
