With great pleasure I'd like to introduce a tuning company new on the scene, Duomo Plains. DPlains mainly specializes in subtle aftermarket performance, from cars 1990 and up. Our aim is to keep things affordable, while packing more punch than you would find out of the factory.
DPlains is also slightly different in that we have different series of tunes. Future plans for example are a Japanese Classics series, '90's Sleeper series, and Euro series. These will usually consist of 3 or 4 vehicles being rolled out at once on a scheduled date, while Individual series tunes will be rolled out regularly. All incredibly exciting, so stay tuned!
The past couple months have been a blast tuning our first car, a gift we received from a mutual tuning friend. We were lucky enough to receive a minty fresh '10 Scirocco R in Rising Blue Metallic, so without further adieu, let us introduce "No. 1"
"No. 1" - DPTIS001 Individual Series
313hp
300ft-ft/2800rpm
1410*kg
PP469
This car is a blast to drive. During initial testing, we were surpised to find that not only was the suspension pretty close to being dialled in, but the gearing right out of the box was quick, high-revving, and helped set a couple new records at our test course. We had already outlined that we wanted to keep the car as close to stock as possible, so it was agreed that very little engine and body modifications would be done. Of course, once we noticed we were able to fit a turbo in there.. well, we had to try it!
When it came time to tuning the car, we decided to outfit it with:
GT Auto
New oil, ENKEI SC05's, and Type A Front Aero
Body/Chassis
Replaced the windows with lighter windows, installed
carbon fiber hood with colour matching paint
Engine
Tuned the ECU
Intake
Installed a sports-grade air filter
Exhaust
Installed a sports-grade exhaust
Turbo
Installed a low-RPM turbo kit
Transmission
We liked it so much, we left it stock
Drivetrain
Replaced clutch and flywheel with sports-grade clutch and flywheel
Suspension
Installed a fully-customizable suspension system
Tires
Changed to a set of Sports Softs (S3s)
Suspension
Ride Height: -9/10
Spring Rate: 7.0/7.4
Dampers (Ext): 3/4
Dampers (Comp): 2/3
Anti-Roll: 2/3
Alignment
Camber: 2.2/0.9
Toe: 0.14/0.21
Brake Balance Controller
Brakes: 4/6
Driving Options
TCS: Off
ASM: Off
ABS: 1
Please give this a test and tell me what you think!
