DVD Burning programs.

Hi guys I just got my DVD burner (not XMAS gift) and I also got a program with it but it didnt burn the DVD right for some reason since I cant watch it on my computer or DVD player. I was wondering what is the best DVD buring program? I tried Nero and NTI but those those for some reason would not let me burn DVD. I was using the trial version of Nero. I am trying to burn Car videos that I have on my Hard Drive since they take up too much space. Oh and here is my burner incase you wanted to see it.

DVD Shrink. Free. Works perfectly fine. I use it for all of my DVDs.
DVD shrink ok I will try that. ANd that will allow me to burn . WMV and .AVI files easily or would I have to make the menus and such?

I use 1click DVD for my movies. For games I use Nero or Alcohol 120%
Hope that helps. 1ClickDVD is literally 1 click and thats it. Its the easiest program I have seen so far.
Movies take between 20-40 minutes depending on size
Games take between 15-25 minutes depending on size

1click eh? So I just download this program and then I just put which files I want to put on the DVD in the little box thing and then I hit burn? Sounds easy! Can you link me please. I dont wanna get a fraud one. Games ha me dont need that.

Yes thats the program and its even easier than you stated in your previous post.
All I do is insert the movie. Then hit start. After about 20 minutes or so it will eject the movie, then you just insert your plank DVD. About another 10 minutes after that your are done. 👍
The options you see listed in the pic are to keep all the extras and languages on or off the disk but once you set those it is automatically saved for every movie you insert. I delete all the languages and extras. You probably will never mess with the options ever again after the first time you set it. 👍
Ive tried at least 5 different programs and 1ClickDVD is the easiest and most reliable so far.

Anyone know any good burning programs that support DVD-RAM? My copy of Nero doesn't seem to, so I use some crappy prog called Burn4Free.

Thanks in advance for replies

DVD-RAM? Never heard of it. Do you mean DVD-RW by chance?

No, he means DVD-Ram. It's from before your time...

DVD-Ram were the original DVD-writable media. Basically, they're re-writable dvd's inside of a cartrige type thing. For the first year or so of DVD-R drives, RAM was the only, or at least the only feasible/affordable option available to consumers :)

nah, dvd-ram is a completely different format. the reason i asked really was because i have a panasonic (they seem to use dvd ram for camcorders, dvd recorders etc) dvd video recorder which records onto dvd-ram.

Though I don't know much about the technicalities and differences between formats, DVD-RAM is apparently better for any use where quick editing/changing of data is needed.

DVD Shrink is a program that will decrypt a DVD movie and recompress the video so you can back it up onto a standard 4.7Gb DVD-R or DVD+R. Commercial DVDs usually come on dual layer 8.5Gb discs so you can't just burn the contents onto a 4.7Gb disc.

DVD Shrink isn't for creating your own DVDs from your own video files from your camcorder or whatever. You need some sort of DVD authoring software for that or a video editting program which will format your stuff so it will play in a DVD video player. I really don't what software you need for that. I've never done it.
