Dvd recorder

I have a Sony dvd recorder with a hard disk drive. I have the entire 2008 f1 season on the hard disk. I need to get the races off the hard disk and onto dvd's to make room for this seasons races. Whenever I burn the races to dvd they will only play on the dvd recorder. They will not play on my ps3, my xbox360, or my laptop with a dvd drive. Can anyone tell me if this is normal, or if they will play on a conventional dvd player/recorder, or a bluray player. Any help getting these to play on other devices would be appreciated. cheers.

I think you might need to finalise the disk for it to work. At the moment they are on the dvd, but on in such a way that you could copy them back onto the hard drive.

If you finalise the disk, you should be able to play on any other device. You should find the option to finalise somewhere in the options menu, if not just look in the instruction booklet.
