Are there any advantages to having a DVD-ROM as opposed to a CD-ROM? Aside from the fact that CD-ROMs are cheaper?

I can't search for it, CD is too short (3 character minimum).

A standard DVD disc can hold 4.7GB of data compared to a CD disc can only hold 650MB.

It's most efficient to have both a DVD drive and a CDRW drive. Mostly it's because the CDRW drives have much higher read speeds than DVD-Rom drives for CD's. I suppose a DVD burner and a CD burner would be better, and I guess a DVD-Rom and DVD burner would be the best, but the DVD burners cost much $$
