Early Car For Me!!!

Well,not to be all excited and stuff,but im getting a early car,and im only 14,so i have to drive it illegally,anyways,i want get my Talon till im 15,thats in september by the way,and well my dads getting my 89 ford mustang with a 5.0 in it,its red,with black stripes......

anyone know of any upgrades???
 
Oh, in that case, Type R badges. Do wonders for your car.:rolleyes: Correct me if I'm wrong, but you can get a good K&N air filter for that much........?

I wouldn't advise tuning it until your confident driving with the power it already has... :D

Then as you get used to the power and feel like alittle more add a turbo?

Hint: Illegal driving should take place in the middle of nowhere
on private land, then it's not illegal anymore :thumbsup:

So have you been out for a run in it yet? How did it go?

5.0..... upgrades....omg..... how big do you want to go?

At 17 my car was a 1 litre mini. And 17 is the youngest you can drive over here too.

A cheap but effective upgrade is to get the head flowed, a moderate flow on my 1750 X-flow was about £250 and the thing breathed a hell of a lot better.

Whew,we got it for 500 bucks,appearently the guy owes my dad some dough,and we got the car for cheap,my dad was drunk when he told me the color,its not red,no black stripes,but its a orange metallic'ish looking paintjob,but its fast,:eek: spun tires all the way till 2nd,yes it is a stickshift,and boy,i love it!!!,rims are on the way ;) Maybe :lol:

You should set up a thread with a competition for best Cop Super car? You could have a :toyota: GT1 sirens and all, an R390, a Skyline, a Supra, :viper: etc... it would be wIcKeD :teleport:

my mother was going to give it to me,but its not payed off yet,so my dad got me a mustang :D

BTW=didnt your car get stolen,what happened??

I like the old Fox Body 'stangs.:)

I'm not a big fan of the new '94-'02 'Stangs though.:yuck: I'm talking 'bout GT's, v6's, and Cobra's. If it's a Bullit, Saleen, or Roush I like it.:P

I don't like the stock Mustang GT's or Cobras, because every teenage boy has one, and drives around like it's the fastest thing on the road, when in fact it's probably one of the slowest.:lol::P
 
The 'Stangs with the 5.0 V8 aren't slow by any means. But I see what you mean when you say every teenage boy has one.:P The 94-02 Mustangs aren't bad, I see a lot of hopped up ones.;):burnout:

when you consider a 195hp FWD car can get ahead of them on the 1/4 mile, i wouldn't consider it fast either...

On a Honda they look fine cause thats were they belong.
 
wow,took the stang to the dyno,in the shop today and :eek: the 5.0 runs a clean 368 horses @ 5300 rpm,very nice!!!!

posi-traction rear end is VERY scary at times though!!!!

And peeps im driving in the country illegally,and well us montana peeps dont have a track to test 0-60,my dad cant find a solution for this problem,is there a way i can test 0-60 with accurate times???,cause im curious,is the stop watch technique really accurate???
 
Sure.

Connect a watch and the spedometer.

Might be harder than it sounds. ;)

Just count in your head, God dangit! A stopwatch would be really bad because you'd be pressing the stopwatch and the car would probably turn to the right or something.
