ok i know this is probably a dumb question, but i cnat find an answer ANYWHERE! so the question is....

what is the best car that is affordable around 150,000 and one thtat i can actually use to beat GT World Championship in the beginner league?

please answer, you have no idea how frustrated i am with this game!

buy any reasonably priced car (around $50000-$80000) and put everything u can into it and do the superspeedway endurance race. you will most likley get a car that is good enough to beat the beginner league

Corvette. With modest improvements, you can easily take the lead. Keep in mind, that tires will be your best advantage.

The other car in this price range, is the RX-7. Both very comparable when kitted up.

You can search out the $150,000 in the Spot races forum, for more information on how to set those two cars up.

Actually, you can also take one of your better cars to the European Car Series in Amateur, and use the "Save/Reload" trick to get the Vertigo.
It will whomp the competition in that particular race bone-stock.

And that series of races can be won quite handily with any car in your price range. And many that are nowhere near the upper limit.
As Der Alta said, check for the 50,000, 100,000 and 150,000 cr challenges.
There is info there that will help you out.

Also, If you are trying to run it "on the cheap" consider the Lancer EVO 6 RS. (it is the lightest of the Lancers)

This series features a bunch of cars with downforce, but I've found all you'll need is something with anywhere from 250 to 450 horsepower (depending on the race). So far, I've won the series (with a silver trophy here and there, but mostly golds) in a Viper, Camaro Z/28, and a Nissan Silvia K's 1800. Those [R] modified cars will give you the toughest time at Trial Mountain I've found...and I tend to rely on horsepower a bit more than usual to stay ahead of them.

Save and reload trick really needs to be in the "look before you ask" thread. I dont think there's any thread dedicated to it either.

Save and reload trick is this-
1. Finish all the races in a series but the last one. You'll need an 11 point lead on the next car down. Basically, win all but the last race. Then save.
2. Start the last race. Then quit it (be sure to start it first...the whole countdown, start, all that jazz). You'll get 0 points, someone else gets 10 points (why you need an 11 pt lead).
3. The whole spinny prize car thing happens. Try pressing X when the shadow's under the car you want. It works about 25% of the time ;) If you get the car you want, go save and be happy :)
4. If it wasn't the prize car you wanted, don't save, go and reload your game from the main screen. This takes you back to after you won the 2nd to last race. Go back to step 2.

Use the prize car list to check out what races to do for which cars.

There used to be a real spiffy set of pages with pictures and all, but evidently Jordan's done away with them :(

To ad to what PP said,
You can also choose to complete the last race, for the completion percentage, and your win/lose record.
You can also use the qualify option to get the fastest qualifying time.
Then when you exit the race, the next fastest car will get 6 points instead of 10.

I've won it with a fully kitted out Mitsubishi FTO GP. Black of course. And you know what they say: the rider wearing black, you know he's always gonna shoot you in the back, which leads to my Save-And-Reload tractic:

If after the first 3 or 4 races, the same guy comes in second place and you're winning by a fine margin... become a ****-blocker. Don't let him win or come in second, even if it means losing one. I suggest throwing Laguna Seca or whatever your most problematic track is. Just ram him into the kitty litter at every possible turn. A nearly 90-degree strike on his nose right in front of the wheels, or his tail right behind them, will prove sufficient in most cases. While the method isn't very realistic, the idea of mitigating your losses and competition is nothing new to sports.

Oh, BTW, I'd recommend the RX-7. Fully kitted with all the racing tires it runs 220k cr... as I was pouring my coffee I SWAGged that with all the kit and just super-softs it'll come to around 100k-150k cr or less. It's got around 690-709 HP, turbo, and is a comparable weight to the FTO... but with nearly double the HP. If you can't win the circuit with that, then your driving skill is what's lacking.
