Coming soon...
Which car(s) do you find the easiest to drive fast? Which are the most comfortable in terms of driving style?

For me, I find the R34 Nissan GTR to be among the easiest and most confidence inspiring in prologue. A monster on the straights, and a breeze to master through the corners. Just flick the front end in, wait for it to stick, then mash the throttle and let the AWD sort out the rest.

The obvious answer to this would probably be the R35 GTR , but the R8 is great on the corners (not so much on the straights) and I have a soft spot for the GT Amuse 350Z. All safe cars which can hold their own on a track.

On the other hand - one car that I simply cannot drive fast is the Ford GT Concept by GT (the racing version).

the corvette tuned. no matter what track i can drive this thing fast.

just wanted to give an answer outside of the obvious AWD cars.

Corvette tuned does so, because it's just fantasy of Gran Turismo creators with poor sound and unrealistic handling.

If the R35 wasn't so tailhappy on brakes, I would bet on it. But I think Sti, Lancer or R8 are fulfilling the definition of easy driving and being fast. For me, it's F430, best car of GT5p. How controllable, passionate and delicious drive!

I think that the tuned 'vette sounds like what a highly strung, race tuned V8 should sound like. It being light and having good downforce also means I think this car handles like I'd expect to. Its a fun car and one of my favourites, but if you want a tuned muscle car, the Viper is a safer (yet slightly slower) bet.

wasn't it you who said it is a fantasy of Gran Turismo creators?:ill: I just feel it sounds realistic because big engines can be high pitched - just hear the Aston DBR9. There was a 'vette at the N-ring 24hr once and it's sounds familier to in the game. I'm sorry I couldn't see the video because my internet is at dial up speed right now - but I'm sure its a steriotypical V8 noise that goes with your argument to prove your point.:)

The R35 GTR i think is a bit too tail happy...just like mentioned high speed turns on the brakes the rear wants to come around. IMO i really like the Tunned EVO IX. Very easy to plant the throttle through turns. Doesn't really over-steer much (with my driving style). All of the RWD cars i have played with can be finicky with throttle imputs. I am really good with the RWD cars, but for someone starting it can definately be tricky. If you were to drive properly and do most of your braking BEFORE the turn, any car can be very fast. As for Easy and Fast, the awd cars don't step out of line much and are usually much easier to tame. :)👍

but then again you also have the LG C6 GT2 car which would much better represent the corvette tuned that has a much higher engine note then the C5-R. and a comparison

then comparing it to an in game video the Z06 dosnt sound nearly as high pitched as the C6 GT2 car.

so the sound is somewhat realistic it just depends whats done to the engine.

as for the handling id say for a semi-race car that the tuned cars are supposed to represent id say its pretty spot on in that category. i haven't seen to many race cars that are just impossible to handle because no drivers going to want to drive that car.

It's the Honda Integra Type-R or the Mazda RX-8 for me. They are both very well balanced. I tend to shy away from supercars since I find wringing a smaller car to >90% of its limit more exciting.

Change the brake balance to 8 front, 3 rear, and this tendency vanishes.

For me it would be the R35 GT-R, it only snaps into oversteer if I pushed it over the limit, but that just tells me I'm driving wrong. With traction control on, it's even easier to drive it :D

I find the Blitz ER34 very smooth and steady to drive if you pop some R1s on there. The car is low enough to get you the downforce needed but it's also very easy to throw around without spinning out.

brake before the turn and it isn't a problem

ofcourse. But for beginner drivers or people starting out who want an easy car to go fast in, it can take some getting used to (and not changing the settings/tunning). IN general it's good to get the braking done on the straights before a turn so you can use all the tires traction to turn, instead of having to turn and slow the car at the same time which can easily exceed the tires maximum grip level. And this is with all driving aids off, professional physics with ABS at 1. :)👍

Also the integra Type-R is an EASY car to drive, very easy to go all out in it, without it stepping out of line. {but i didn't originally mention it because it's not really a "fast" car compared to GTR, Rx7's, evo, etc.}. But i do enjoy it as there is a lot more room for error.

Just Kidding. I would say the AWD and FWDs are very easy. RWD is a different story, pretty much the clio.

This is quite an interesting topic when you look at it closer because of the different driving styles. It's not so much likes and dislikes of a particular car, but more on how you can drive. It says alot about the people posting - which is interesting. For example: I'm not questioning Context at all but I can't get a full throttle corner exit from a STI to save my life, yet I can hold my own on a track because I'll make up time somewhere else.

Just so this isn't a completly pointless post, the SRT10 Viper can almost be considered safe compared to the Z06 - yet a fraction slower. This is probably down to the more gradual power delivery and different suspention setup. I'd have the Z06 anyday though.

Driving fast, depends greatly on tires. With R tires the F430 is great with S tires still fast but a little twitchy,I guess the same can be said for all the higher power cars. The S2000 Amuse Tuned is one of my favorites also The Ferrari California is a blast with a 650 to 700 tune with Rs.

So I guess my pick of the "easiest" car to drive fast would be the Amuse S2000.

Personally, if the R35 GT-R wasn't so goddamn bad round braking for banked curves, that would be it. For me though, it's the Ford GT because, while it doesn't have extreme turning ability, it can hold high speeds.

Heres my 10 pence worth...
If racing a 650 - 750 pp race I will use the Clio 24v or the F430 as they are great all rounders and great at frustrating the fast Japanese in there GTLM's! If I want some more grunt its the Viper, GT40 or GTLM oh and the Mines skyline is a hoot but I always go back to the Clio if i feel I am lacking competitivness.

Amazing i use complete opposite and i find it alot more stable if i have to brake while cornering (which i try to avoid). Just goes to show how different driving styles can hugely change the attitude of a car.

Oh god my head aspode. The american cars, with the lazy revving V8's would naturally be easier to handle around corners.

I find this, I set break balance 4 front 6 rear. I often use handbreak to blip it round hairpins so I like a tail happy car setup.

For me the Amuse s2000 isn't an "easy" car to go fast in, but i love it because it's fun and a challenge keeping it straight. So i say it's fun making it go fast, i wouldn't call it easy. Same goes for the stock Zo6 (havent tried the Tunned vette). i love the RWD cars. Very rarely do they understeer, and i love playing with and correcting over-steer. (drifter at heart) :)👍

For me easiest car to drive would be the Lancia!
heh.. ok its too easy and too slow

Easiest car and fast one for me would be the Speed Six. I know it's not the fastest one, but it handles great for it's speed, has lots of nice power to play around with, and always easy for me to not spin out when back tire to go over the front ones.

I think it might be one of my Favorite cars.

To think of it, I have not use it for months now! :embarrassed:

Since we got new EVENTS, I'll try to use it more often, lets see what happens.

*goes to TUNE forums*

Personally I prefer the tuned 'vette or the ferrari california.
The reason for this is that both cars are capable of keeping up with/beating the pack even if you can't or just don't use all the PP's available.
Second reason is that they both perform just aswell on S3 tyres all the way up to R3 tyres. And for me this makes them versatile machines in almost any PP category.
