After passing the pit entrance on High Speed Ring, I drove through the section marked by cones and was able to enter without triggering the pit sequence and play a little game of chicken the the two pit crew members standing by one of the stalls. Is there an existing thread related to things like this? I did a search which didn't yeild any results.

This would probably fit best in the bugs thread. It sounds like more of a glitch then an easter egg.
I have heard of this situation before, but I have no idea who reported it. Probably not an easy thing to find with the search feature.
