EASY drifting cars?

Okay, deal is, just got a new wheel, tried drifting a stock NSX, failed miserably.

Anyone would like to suggest an easy-to-drift car?
 
drifting with a wheel isn´t easy, no matter what car you choose. the nsx is a quite good one imho, but i´m not a really good drifter (trying to be and it´s fun, though). :) the s2000 is good too. or any other car which has rear drive. you have to practice practice practice to get good at drifting in gt5.

make sure to turn of all aids, except for abs mby. otherwise you won´t have proper control of the car while drifting

i drift on comfort hards & ABS 1, all assist off
 
Drifting with AWD is like training wheels. Practice on an R8 or GT-R and then graduate yourself to a Spoon S2000 or something. 👍
 
From what I understand, you should be able to drift any RWD car. You probably shouldn't start with something that has too much power. Around 300 hp is the magic number. Just pick any car that has good weight distribution. The Nissan Z's are very good, as well as the Silvia to stat with. You don't really have to do much tuning to get started, just add a little power. Just pick a car and stick with it. Keep practicing. Once you get a hang of it, you should be able to drift any other car much more easily.
 
Chevrolet Camaro SS '10. I found this car easy to drift with but it is all about how you drive, or in this case drift, the car.
 
RUF Yellowbird.

I agree, with the only exception to note that it is just about impossible to straighten out and the tires will disappear extra quickly. The RUF Yellowbird is one of my go-to drift cars.
 
The 420 Scuda is pretty good fun for a drift. It has plenty of power and with a little tuning here and there it should come loose on the corners!

yup the R8 V10...its a crazy car...got me used to the basics adn now i normally drfit something like the Z34 (370z) or the Ford MKIV (a surprisingly good car to drift with...) or the G37 Concept

dont know about you guys but i preffer a car with a smooth tourqe curve...with the exception for a few cars!
 
I started with a Nissan Silvia S13, nice car to drive and not expensive.

But a Subaru Impreza WRX STI, Ford Escort Cosworth or Tesla Roadster will be a good choice too.
 
Actually the NSX Is a Rear engine car if I'm not mistaken so it's a bit different in terms of Technique. You are going to have to be careful on the throttle as rear engine cars spin out easier due to heavier weight over the rear axel.

The NSX has a MR layout with the motor in the middle of the car, and about mid/rear engined cars and having to be careful because they spin, I find that to be untrue. With having more weight over the rear wheels you have more grip which generates more speed and stability. I haven't drifted the NSX on the wheel but that car is one of if not THE most stable car I've driven on DS3(Honda version).

In regard to the topic question, if you mean easy as in cars that don't need a lot of throttle/steering inputs, then these are a few I have found to be easy to drift for me:

TVR Speed 6, Aston Martin DB9, Toyota Supra RZ, RX7 FC, Silvia S13, RX7 Spirit R/FD, Alfa Romeo 8C, Suzuki Cappuccino, Toyota AE86 Levin and many, many more.

i like the 350Z. very stable drifts
my favorite is RUF YELLOWBIRD. its a wild ride, but puts up the biggest scores. 👍
 
The only way you can get good with a wheel is to start with an extremely underpowered car and work your way up. They do that in real life and GT5 is no exception either.

Start with a Cappuccino, a Miata or an AE86
Once You've got the hang of it, work your way up the ladder to the S-chassis, like an S13.
Once you are moderately good with that, you can go higher by raising the power of the specific Silvia you are using or you can upgrade to something like an RX-7, a 350z, a Supra, or an NSX like you originally wanted.

If I were you, I'd only buy the essentials for drifting: suspension, LSD, tires. If you feel that your car needs more power, just add some little things like an exhaust or an intake.

Do that for about a month and you got drifting down!

Remember, just because a car is easy for drifting, doesn't mean it's going to be easy for you when using the wheel. It's not something you can just pick up, it requires practicing. So start small and work your way up.
