I have a simple question and would like some input. Do you read questions and answers (if posted) on eBay ads?

Cause I do and it can also answer any questions I have or spot something that isn't on the ad to start with.

I only buy things off of people who have sold thousands of items; but still have a 98%+ rating.

Haven't had one bad buy yet. :)

(To answer your question: no)

*Although I always read the description to make sure I'm getting what's advertised.
I.e it's not a Car with the description:
"If you win this auction you will win a pen." :D

I do read if there are questions because description is not made properly. Maybe my question was answered already. Like the picture shows the UK version of a game. Description says: German version. So what is right? German version means UK version with German language option but English booklet? Or 100% German version? To make sure you have to ask. Nowadays so many "smart" sellers are around who intendedly try to humbug people with vague/not given information.

You can make good deals with vague details inside an auction. Not asking and hoping it`s the quality you`re looking for. These items normally are sold below average price. But don`t be disappointed if not. :sly:

Doesn't everyone who wants to make sure the item is 100% what they want?! Only way to keep yourself safe.

I haven't read any questions before, but what I always do it stick to any sellers with at least 99.5% ratings and check what kind of negative feedbacks they've received because some of them are ridiculously petty or reasons out of the seller's controls such as item lost in mail.

Me, myself, I always put as much detail as I possibly can when I'm selling electronics online. I've been through sellers with 99.5% ratings that put wrong information in their sales and it was always a problem to get them to give me my money back for their mistake(such as getting the wrong LCD panel for a laptop). It's annoying when you buy an item and the seller instantly changes information such as "Seller pays for return shipping" to "Buyer pays for return shipping". It's usually the Chinese sellers with stock in a "US Warehouse" that is bad to deal with if the item is not what you wanted.

Like the guy who thought he successfully bid a few hundred pounds for an ipad but instead bought an email containing a link to the apple store's ipad page?

Precisely.

I've never been roped in yet by twisted descriptions.

I've bought a few things from Hong-Kong, Taiwan, China etc; all came as expected. :sly:
