Hi iv just been looking at some pedals when i came across ECCI TRACKSTAR 6000 ones, does anyone use these for GT4 at all. They look very good but are the same price as a G25 so might not get them if they arnt very good. So does anybody rate them?

chollo9 - do you have these pedals? I checked out their web page and saw their wheel too. Incredible! But the wheel does not appear to be compatible with PS2 or GT4.
If you have the pedals, please let me know what you think of them.

Thanks,
ERacer

I have the pedal set and they are the best you can get for gaming. Pictures don't do them justice. Unfortunately, they will only work with the PS2 or PS3 if you get the Logitech compatible electronics that plug into The Black Momo or DFP. Looks like they will work with the G25 wheel since it is the same connector. There is a thread on this topic at RSC.

Their wheel will not work for console gaming.

Unfortunately, ECCI won't adapt their wheel to consoles because of the ridiculous console licencing fees, which aren't required for the replacement pedals.

Thanks for the info cdn57 and MasterGT 👍

It's really a shame about the wheel and the prohibitive licensing fees. I have no idea how much those fees are, but they would have had my business and probably 100's of other sim enthusiasts business as well :(

One additional thing to know about the ECCI pedals is that they do require to be 'grounded'....so if your cockpit setup is close to an electrical outlet, that'll do fine!

Why? Because the pedals are made out of metal and thus will create static electricity.

I've also noticed a few times when I moved the pedals and forgot to hookup the ground cable again, that during game-play, the gas pedal stops working for a few quick seconds. Once the ground has been re-connected, the problem goes away.

Food for thought! ;-)
