Hello, well ive been browsing this website for a while but ive never really posted much, as you can see. I'm just posting now because tomorrow me and 2 mates are going to do my first ever GT4 endurance race.. on el capitan so i can get the minolta. I only want the minolta, not a spec points or anything lols, but these two mates.. this will be their first time playing gt4.. Im going to record the whole thing on my webcam, and depending what kind of explicit content (jk) and stuff that happens i may/may not upload it :) Im more after the whole fun of it than the actual race so i wont mind to much if i lose. Once we start racing ill start posting different events that happen like if we crash and stuff, we will be doing roughly 22 laps each... Im racing 2moz though so i was just getting this thread ready. Sorry if im breaking any rules lol.

That's cool. Let us know how it goes down. Haven't done El Capitan 66 yet, but it's one i'm looking forward to since i love this track. I think it's my favorite new track matter of fact.

this is a fun endurance race. i've come back to the game after not playing it in about 2 years. for some reason i've just become interested in the game again and picked it up last night only to find out that i had erased my file and now i'm starting over from scratch.

el capitan is a fun track and if i'm not mistaken it only takes about 2 hours to finish. i can't remember what car i won the race in.

I just b-specced this event to get the Minolta. :(

eeeew! :yuck: This is one of the best and most enjoyable enduros to drive, and is a humungous amount of fun in many moderately powered stock road cars!
B-speccing just to get your hands on the Minolta, is denying yourself one of the best driving experiences in the game. :(

:nervous: I'm probably going to do it again though. (in a-spec this time)

If I do, what car should I use? I want something challenging but not excessively heavy or poor at turning. Is a BMW M5 too much? How about a Lotus?

A BMW M5 is probably overkill but I haven't tried it myself. My favorite car for this enduro is a Suzuki GSX-R/4 with stock HP or maybe a racing exhaust, plus all the suspension and driveline bits. That car is really a blast to drive on that track.

In addition to this I've also used a stock RX-7 Bathurst, and a stock Holden Commodore SS to event for 200 points too. Total fun, and hugely recommended! 👍

It sounds like I'll try out the Suzuki GSX-R/4. Thanks for the replies guys.

And who knows, maybe I'll make it a race report. :)

Yeah, but despite much cajoling, you never entered it for Club 200!
You've also done lots of other 200pt stock races, but I remember one of your first PMs to me, said something like "I'm a lone gunman!" following an invitation to join one group or another back in GT3 days!
I didn't push after that for fear of being invited to a "pistols at dawn" duel, which I'm pretty sure I'd lose!
1 post in the stock car thread is all it'll take. I'll even post your name in indigo! :P
daan is even on that list! What more encouragement could you need? (Sorry daan! :guilty: )

The Aston Martin Vanquish should give you a good race that I used and a very close finish against the Motor Sport Elise, which is the venue's strongest competitor just ahead of the Shelby Cobra if I remember correctly from my report.

Yeah, i think El Capitan/Yosemite is my favorite new track in the game. 👍 Not only that, but i often find myself really downplaying the power here (compared to other tracks), since the Ai gets all scared and brakes too often down that first hill out of the tunnel.

Like i said i haven't done this enduro yet, but i think this is one enduro Bob will be sittin on the sidelines, bored out of his mind while i take all the glory! :embarrassed:

i started this in a-spec, (then changed to b-spec because i had to go somewhere), came back, and on the race screen it said i had come in second , but my time was faster 💡 . I still won the gold trophy and minolta :sly:, although i had come second
i dont really care though, i still got the minolta
i might do it all in a-spec, when i feel like it :)
