I'm trying to perfect my laptime with F1 for el capitan. I have done a search but not much came up.

I have my car on stock settings, using G25 driving wheel, my best time has been 1:15. I know i can go faster because i always make extremely minor mistakes (mainly with bad racing line) which causes me to lose valuable seconds.

Also I am having trouble with this part (Remember the place after the short tunnel with a slight hill that causes tires to lose traction?):

I'd appreciate any tips.

Do you have AIDS on? In most cars, I drive this with AIDS and let the hill cause the car to slide. Then I turn the other way go down the other side without braking. There is a very small window for this, though. For the FGT, I might say just keep the car relatively straight for this hill and turn after the peak.

You should aim for the 1:12's - even breaking into the 1:11's on a good run.

Even with a setup that is 'kind' on the bumps you will have a hard time on the section you are talking about. It's very hard to get it right, and the perfect line through there is literally on the millimetre edge.

However, I haven't yet used the G25 wheel - they haven't been released here yet, so I can't imagine how much nicer the car must be to drive than with my DFP.

thanks for the tips guys.

i've seen laptimes of low 1:10's around here but I really want to see a first person replay or drive video of such lap.

If 1:12 is truely an authentic result, then it must be my racing line that is wrong and i personally have learned a slight alternative to the perfect racing line will cause a major slowdown.

But i just cant seem to get a racing line that will reach 1:12s or 1:11s.

Since there are many race replays put up, for example the WRS, I am sure you might find something there. It would be cool to see a guide section put up of near perfect racing lines. Especially in .max format. Maybe there is.. I am just a newb to this forum, but liking it a lot!

I'll try to make a replay of a good lap and use my brothers AR to make a MAX file for you.

I don't doubt 1:10's being possible, but it would have to be a 100% perfect run on an extremely good setup.

The best setup to use on El Capitan is a Nurburgring setup slightly tweaked.
