Elusive paint chip

Hey guys,

I've been looking for a colout to paint the 17 RM cars.
I finally decided on the Viper Violet that is on the Viper ACR '08.
When purchased, I don't seem to have the colour available in my paint chips. Even bought the car a second time and gifted it to a friend to see if it gave him the chip, to no avail.
Anyone have any ideas why I can't obtain this chip when buying the car?

Some cars don't grant you a paint chip when you purchase them, I believe the Veyron is the same. You can buy the car in whatever colour it is supplied, but you won't necessarily get that chip. I'm sure there will be a thread on these boards somewhere that eloborates on this...

There may be another way to get a viper violet, but i have aquired mine from the daily paint gifts. It is the same with all the Viper colours, they are'nt a solid colour.

If you're wanting a purple, I suggest the XJR9 Purple. If I've got any I think I could send some, but I might have used them all and have none available currently, but I'll check.
