I am now racing the B-spec 24h Le Mans race.
21 hours elapsed, and I see an AI Bentley Speed 8 going very slow. I switched on it, and I saw that it's out of fuel. But still going, slowly (79 km/h), like with a speed limiter engaged after a race finish. I was watching it driving on the pit lane. It visited the pit lane, but... missed all of the team boxes and went further on the track, going on the same speed. The other AI drivers including my B-spec driver keep crashing into this Bentley. I stopped saving the race on pits, as I'm afraid it may cause some unexpected finishing issues wasting all my race progress.

Have any of you expierenced such issues in endurance races?

Had a similar issue in GT4, where one car would sometimes randomly slow down to like 45 mph... Right smack in the middle of the Mulsanne.. And stay that way until someone hit him. Didn't matter what race it was, be it dream cars or FGTs. A trick I used would be until a few seconds before impact and hit the pass button, my Bob in GT4 would get the hint to pass the slow car, but it only worked sometimes and I don't know about GT5. Gotta say I used that glitch numerous times to get faster AI cars off my tail, like clockwork they would slam right into the back of the AI car, sometimes causing spectacular pile ups that would render the whole field more than 30 seconds back in an instant.

The race was finished successfully. But that was still very weird. A car which is out of fuel drives 3 more hours on the track slowly... :dunce:
This just must be fixed. I hope GT6 won't have such odd things...

Same thing happened to me when I did the Indy 500. Multiple cars would slow down and other cars would just come crashing into them from behind. At least 4 or 5 cars slowed down throughout the race and would cause huge crashes. Very strange.

Yes I've had this in A-spec, it's not easy to avoid them sometimes.

Yeah.. Finding that little spec in the Mulsanne straight at 200 mph.. The mini map only helps so much... You feel like a boss though when you nail a last second swerve.

I have experienced this in the same event,It was with the 99' Toyota,It pitted but no crew were visible,it happened since the 16th hour

I have came across it in Indy 500 b spec too, that was with the Pescarolo '04

And since the A.I pit based on strength,in LM24 b spec, all LMP cars other than my teammate pitted every lap,the strength for the A.I was at 10%(mental&physical),they put a new driver in at 15%,since its every lap,the other drivers don't get enough time to gain their strength back, they do this for hours.

Usually sometimes in a spec , the LMPs always are at the front

In B spec , the LMPs are more at the back , and the slower LMPs at the front .

Why is this ?
