Endurance timings out by 15 minutes

My first post on the forum. Hello! :)

When doing the B-Spec endurance races, I noticed that the 9-hour and 24-hour races finish roughly 15 minutes later than they should.

For some reason, the 9-hour race runs for 9 hours and 15 minutes (approximately) and the same time extension seems to occur when doing the 24-hour endurance.

For example, I'm currently running the 24-hour endurance race and it's been going for 12 hours and 45 minutes (according to the clock on my wall, my watch, and my PC clock). However, the timer on the screen in GT5 states that I've only been racing for 12 hours and 30 minutes.

I haven't confirmed that the same thing happens in the 4-hour endurance, but I've got a suspicion it occurred there too.

I've checked the time on the PS3 and the game. Both are correct and in sync. I've also tried doing the 9-hour race so that it is running when the actual real world time passes the GMT 00:00 mark, as well as my own midnight hour (just in case it was a web time-syncing issue), but the race is still longer than it should be.

Has anyone else noticed this phenomenon?

I've done a bunch and they all seem to end right on time for me. One thing to remember is that once the clock ticks down to zero your lap still needs to be completed, but 15 minutes is a long last lap.

The extra 15 minutes doesn't come from having to complete a final lap.

I keep a close eye on GT5 B-Spec races because one of my PS3's is in my office and connected to my third monitor. While I'm working on my PC, I often glance over to see how the race is progressing. Okay, sometimes it's more than just a glance and I get very little work done. Anyway, that's when I started noticing the time discrepancy.

I'm running the 4-hour endurance now to see if that does it too.

Hmmm...
My Le Mans 24 Hour race started yesterday at 10:15am and finished this morning at 10:16am because bob was at the mulsanne corner when 24 hours was reached.

Is Bob driving a DeLorean at 88mph?

LOL, Gran Turismo has always been a little slow. I think thats what the CEO Kazunori Yamauchi was most worried about, the game not running at a constant 60 frames/second. I dont know if a slowing frame rate could make a time diff or not. I guess if the slow down was large enough it would.

F1 2010 slows down a little bit at times, but not much more than GT5 and of course the races are all short sprint fests compared to GT5 racing.
