Engine/General mods for under $5000

Well.... In about 2 years, my sister wants to get a '03 Celica.....
I just want some general information on what small tweaks I can make to have the car pick up and go a bit faster... Or turn...
and no, she is not going to rice it out.. that's just sad....

Why the GT and not the GT-S
I would only want the GT-S and not the GT because the GT-S has the 6 Speed and the Horsepower upgrade

*Edit* As far as buying the GT instead of the Gt-S the insurance for the GT-S when I got quoted was only like $30 more a month. They wanted $450 canadian a month to insure the GT or $478 for the GT-S.So I dont think that should be a factor in buying the GT over the GT-S.

Rumple: She's thinking about the GT-S, only problem is, my dad doesn't prefer 180 hp under the hood.. haha, but yeah, i want the GT-S too..

Hanker: Nope.. just spirited driving.. and the usual redline.... haha

And it's not weather or not she wants the car right now, it's cuz she's still in highschool. That's why i said she's gonna get it in two years, because by then, she would be in university

So what makes you think your dad is going to let your sister spend $5,000 hopping up her car to go faster when he won't let her get the GT-S in the first place?:confused:

///M-Spec

Well..... m-spec, my sister isn't the one that's makin it go faster.. he has more confidence in my driving even though i'm only 14.. 0.o

and no.. daddy has very small wallet.. haha

Well first she should be getting a 01 celica, not a 03, because the 01 celica was a better performer, the 03's fuel cutoff line was dropped about 6-700 rpm as compared to the 01, I don't know why Toyota did it, but they did.

Actually the '02 model that had its limits dropped.2000 and 2001 and 2003 have the higher limit engine.

2005 is the projected date for the 8th generation Celica. Rumored to have a 250 hp rwd system.

$5000 can get you a lot.
