Engine revision

I was surprised to find out the following,

A while ago i mentioned that my 787B was lacking power in my opinion, (but can't seem to find that discussion) all stats were excellent, oil, engine, etc all greens.
at first i thought it was the previous update but still wasn't happy with it, the 787B is my standard Sardegna/Spa grind car so i had some comparison of how it should drive.

Altho all stats were green, i did the engine revision to check if there was a difference before bying/installing a new engine.
I was realy surprised that this was a world of difference, drives like it did now, and in the 1.35's on Sardegna again instead of 1.39/40's.

(had 5900km on the clock btw)

Use it to your advantage :D:D

I wonder what values they take into account for engine wear? Is it just mileage? Do they take into account how you treat the engine? Like if I bounce off the rev limiter for 30 seconds before every race? Dirty oil ruining things?

Off topic but my first iRacing experience I did my usual Gran Turismo revving the engine and either that or the transmission blew up in the poor Kia 10 seconds in and I couldn't stop laughing at what I had done. 🤣

It would help if you had some video or images of the process so we could see what's changed and explain it, because otherwise you're just advising people to spend hundreds of thousands of credits on something that has no objective outcome.

Thanks for the discussion, that was it indeed

It's in no way my intention to advise people to spend hundreds of thousands of credits, it was just something that i came a cross and thought would be helpfull for someone with the same problem with a rather high milaged car, but there is no way to proof the difference on my side.

But i understand your point, so topic can be closed from my side ;)
