iv noticed the engine and sound effects change depending on what view you use when racing. in 3rd person view the sounds are a hell of alot better than the sounds from the bumper view. i drive with the latter but the sounds are quite underwhelming compared to 3rd person view. in 3rd person i get a nice rumble to centre speaker but when i switch it seems toned down and mostly comes out of the fronts and a far lower tone. is it meant to be like this?

Have you tried "small theatre" setting? I think it adds some subtleties for a 5.1 system (Im running a Yamaha receiver in DTS Enchanced mode).

Small or big theatre settings are better, but it feels just louder, normal setting + volume up = same. Engine's become louder, all other sound effects decrease. Idk, it's... crap.

Seemed to get it sounding better with small theater option and an enhanced Dolby digital mode on Kenwood reciever. Sorta gives a more deeper bass on the fronts in bumper view but still not the same as car view. Forcing it into 2 stereo redirects the exhaust note to the fronts. Anyway surround is poor you can't hear the other cars exhaust until its right beside you. So many silly probs
