I know it increases torque, but if you need a car at a certain HP and you have to lower the HP, does the car have a higher amount of torque than without the engine tuning?

ONly to a certain extent, you could call the Power and the Torque curve simbiotic because they grow simultaneously, as you can see if there is a slight torque increase at 3200 RPM then the power curve will grow steeper by a slight amount. But if you put the power limiter too strong, then Torque will decrease because you have limited power so much, that Peak Power (it always stays in front/side by side of Peak Torque, along with the RPM it is at) and the RPM it is generated at will nudge the Peak Torque and it's corresponding RPM back, thus decreasing Torque (because Peak Torque@RPM was pushed farther back in the REV range, so it creates less Twisting Power [AKA Torque].

Which is'nt really realistic. In real life depending on cams, timing, comp. ratio, and a ton of other variables power production can make drastic jumps both up and down from only minor changes. I think that they shold allow you to adjust the boost pressure (psi) on forced induction cars and the compression ratio and timing on N/A cars. I really hope they add that feature into the game at some point. Along with actual turbocharger specs and the choice of selecting different A/R ratios and different housings and wheel trims. I'd love to be able to throw a single 109mm turbo on a Supra or a Skyline. Twin 76mm's on a Vette or something like that.C'mon, that would be pretty cool would'nt you agree?

Yeah, and it would be pretty cool if they had data acquisition that logged shock velocities and tire temperature spreads across the tire, and let you adjust shock valving for high speed clickers instead of just the two lowspeed ones.

I don't think that's going to happen either. ;)

Go get Shift 2:Unleashed, then. :ouch:
