Me and my friend mad94d have decided to set up a competition, unfortunatly no prizes but we hope it will be competitve, its Time Trail with a new combo each week, top 8 score points and 18 races in total.

It will be begin on tuesday 10th feburary and here are the rules:
-Clean laps ONLY.
-Once your happy with your time send your GTP_ name and lap time to myself or GTP_mad94d via private message or send a message though the ps3.

All drivers are welcome and we hope we can get more drivers into Time trail, also pushing each other to improve, mad94d will post race 1 on the morning of the 10th.

Any surgestions on cars and tracks we will try and include in the series if we can.

Would recommend any time trial competition to most people, major improvements if necassary in your own driving ability are often learned through this type of event

Only yesterday I asked some friends on here if anyone knew you. And here you are! King of the Citroen GT

I'll be in. Currently doing a Time Trial championship on Pistonheads.co.uk and it's fun.

They do a system where you can drop your 2 worst rounds. Maybe take this into consideration, perhaps?

lol thanks gave up on that horrible car ages ago, maybe we could do that, not sure but its good practise to do combos you dont like so you get better all round and more experience.👍

Would love to join in, but due to go on my holidays in a few weeks time for a few weeks, so any event that starts now or soonish i have to pass on due to lack of time, although will keep watching when i can, maybe do the odd TT if time permits 👍

I'm definately interested in competing. I never got a chance to compete in the IFTC, so i'm sure this competition will be quite fun in its own right.👍

I used to be off the pace by miles, but after doing lots of time trials I am much faster. Time trials has made me a much better driver:tup: That's why we're running this time trial comp, to hopefully make people faster through time trials It worked for me.

The more you play the better your get, if you try this and do all the races[big variety] in this series i guarantee you will be better by the end.

markyboy92, my only question is will you and mad be taking part because there goes 2 of the top 8 spots?

If it will make me better, I'm in!!! Would like to suggest the use of the GT-LM, Ford GT, F430, Lotus Evora, and F2007 since I haven't spent much time in them but hear they are quite a challenge.

I assume these will be Arcade style TimeTrials where no tuning is allowed - will we be allowed to run these online?

Well we be picking each race alternatively, i myself am not a fan of online or tuning on the game i just like simple time trial were everybody has exactly the same but im not going to pick my favorite cars and tracks so i win i want to try and think of my worst car at my worst track for one or two races. I would love to try that lotus at some point as well, ive never even bought it yet lol. Race 1 will be announced tomorow:tup:

p.s yes i will take part in every race, dont know about mad

P.S Near the end I will be making a F2007 combo since I love it so much and it's the fastest car in the game, how can you not have it in a Time trial comp

Really glad your making the F2007 event towards the end, because, I do not have the F2007 yet.

I figured i'd make an F2007 event towards the end because people may not have it yet(like you AUSnicko9) and it does take some experience to drive it. Personally, I have no problem with driving it, I find it easy. But others may need some more Time Trial practice before jumping into the F2007.

Count me in! I need to improve my times as well, and if a DIV 1 driver says it worke for him, I believe him. Actually yesterday I practiced time trial at Fuji Speedway with a M3, and after 30 minutes, I ran again, but in the 650pp event, and I could feel I was way much more in control...you can feel your improvement when you pass from driving a "standard" car, to a tuned car...

The Lotus Evora is an absolute dream of a car, pretty much my favourite in the game

I'm finding I suck a little too much at time trials and perform much more credibly in races, so I'll have to give this a pass. Great that you're running the competition though, best of luck to all involved 👍

nah, f2007 would be a good one, ive never really driven it.

its your comp so its up to you but Instead of using all the predictable cars why not choose some of the cars that dont get used to often, Bring out the real drivers in you!
