Yep, they made 24 normal CLK-GTR's, they made 1 CLK-GTR Supersport and 5 CLK-GTR Roadsters later on due to demand form certain high profile Mercedes fans.

It's a terminological inexactitude. The Enzo Ferrari's transmission is a six-speed paddle-shift semi-automatic - since you can only pick "manual" or "automatic" at eBay, it has to be "automatic"...

The CLK-GTR Roadsters were actually original CLK-GTR coupes that were modified by HWA, a division of AMG. I do believe you are correct in saying there are only 5 though.

I believe new they cost roughly $1.2mil.

It seems unanimous that the Enzo and CLK-GTR Roadster both seem like bad deals. When I first seen this site, I thought the Mercedes in question was the one-off DTM-style CLK. I think for a car like the Enzo or the Mercedes to be automatic is like saying that the Bentleys that won Le Mans last year were automatics. Pure sports cars meant to be DRIVEN, and these seem as automatics. I may not be good with manual/standard, but even I know if I sold my soul to the devil and get one of those, I'd want to drive it to the limit, especially at a race track (that was intitially a knock against illegal street racers).

But anyhow, too good to be true? Your call.

It's a special on off version of the CLK-GTR, it has more power (720Bhp), a bigger rear wing, a 7.3 liter engine instead of 6.0 and it comes in one colour (whith there only being one of them), red. And you can see it here .

I read that AMG built 5 of them but they were built from extra CLK-GTR's not existing CLK-GTR's/ All of the 24 CLK-GTR's and the Supersport were sold so AMG took the chassis and started work on the 5 roadsters.

The CLK-GTR SuperSport is the 3rd of 25 CLK-GTRs built, and features a 720hp 7.3L V12 as well as an updated aerodynamics package taken from the CLK-GTR Roadsters. The other 24 standard CLK-GTRs have a 612hp 7.0L V12.

It is also the only CLK-GTR (Coupe or Roadster) not painted silver, it is painted red, and is estimated sold new at $1,250,000.

This 7.3L V12 is also the same engine used in the Pagani Zonda 7.3S, although detuned.
