equalizer....

I was wondering, which equalizer is better, the one that comes with your sound card (for me its Fortissimo III) or the equalizer on mp3 players like winamp. anyone kno?

for best audio quality, it's best to not use an EQ at all since they distort some frequencies of noise...Unless of course you're a Bass-Head. If I *DO* use one, i'll just use whatever winamp has. It's the cleanest sounding one I've found so far.

Hmm.

I'd say, if your audio hardware is decent, use the one that uses it. I've found equalizers in all mp3 players, such as winamp, to be horrible, especially compared to the hardware accelerated one.
