Erebus Motorsport Club, run by Erebus Motorsport (V8, GT, EREBUS ACADEMY), has made a petition on their FB page to have GT6 add their liveries in GT6. http://www.change.org/petitions/pol...tm_medium=email&utm_campaign=petition_created

Having car concepts and designs from worldclass motorsport teams for the fans to enjoy is a key concept in UX and marketing that no games company can ignore. Especially to increase sales in individual markets. Having liveries from fan favourite teams will entice the user to interact with the game more frequently and buy or download additional content should it be available.

Just fill out the requested info and enter "Sign". To find out more about Erebus Motorsport V8/GT/ACADEMY Check the Erebus Motorsport FB pages and website. You can also visit the V8 Supercar thread here in the Motorsport forum for the latest V8 news.

Its good because the SLS GT3 are cars they run and if the livery could be in before the Bathurst 12H, even better. I just wonder if they know the latest V8s arent in the game. Unless they know aomething we dont.

If there are enough vote, there's no way they'll get it done in time for launch, and I really doubt would want to wait long for the option. Especially after it's been asked for many times before.

Addition:
They seem official.

I asked V8 Supercars, Betty, Erebus and NISSAN mid-year, if PD contacted the teams to model the cars for GT6. The only response I got was from V8SC on their FB page was, "Some workers from Japan were looking at Mount Panorama last year." uh, I knew that already...

petitions won't do anything.
If you're unhappy with gran turismo 6 the way it is (granted, not even out yet), then don't buy it. plain and simple

A petition is better @GTPorsche. People have been in contact with PD about this for a number of years and nothing was done. People petition for the same for Forza and they got it the following title. How many years have people been asking for it in Gran Turismo?

Is that an official club, or fan made?

The Club is official. Betty (owner of Erebus for those that dont know) made it. Theres even incentive to have your name on the cars as founding members of EREBUS MOTORSPORT CLUB (EMC). I agree that there shouldnt be a petition. But, if the club is putting it out there to get members and vans involved, it brings awareness. Maybe it just gets people involved if anything else. Feeling like they have a say. Thats how Betty said she wants the club to be.

I guess you're correct there. I mean, it would be easier to create an independent petition that a company might not even see than it is to directly contact them and put things in motion.

Why doesn't Erebus contact Sony/PD directly? I am sure Sony/PD would listen to what they say and potentially enter a partnership like PD have done with so many others.

This is what I was hoping when Kaz said car makers seek them out when they want their car in GT. MARK SKAIFE was already an "ambassador" for XBOX. Some people on FB still ask when are V8s going to be its own title on Playstation. All we can do is keep asking. The squeaky wheel gets the grease.

Interesting, a racing club is requesting liveries including their own to be featured as selectable liveries for the racing cars in GT6. In the same way one would expect a normal GT fan would organise such a request.

A daunting ask, but a really nice idea there. But it's execution by creating a petition on a website is real unprofessional. It's not like PD is a military junta that must be stopped, why put PD in Change.org for a subject that doesn't have much value?

Considering the Erebus V8s are basically unofficial Mercedes and that Mercedes don't really like Erebus being involved at all, I can't see them coming to GT6.

How do we know they haven't? Also I'd rather pressure them first about the V8s in the game before I sign. It's a simple request.

Even still, for them to request the liveries in the game, somebody knows something. Of course they mention Turn 10 and the last model E63 is in FM4. We have a blank SLS GT3. If we can add stickers, change paint colour or multiple colours, maybe there will be provisions to add skins. If its not an out and out livery editor, what of we can download real liveries or if they are available as livery chips. As mentioned above, why would Erebus want their liveries on different typesmof cars? Doesnt make sense especially this late just before release. I cant call it.

I remember there was a game not sure if FM1 or another racers back in the day that had a simplistic livery editor that gave you a set amount of sponsor stickers to put on the car. That could be given to us at least and then patches with team content added to the livery creator like with Erebus, then GT7 could have a more advanced one that we get to create our own team livery for. Systematic implementation isn't that hard.

But yeah this was a great catch by you XR8 and it does make it suspicious.

Betty is quite a unique character. This aired a week or two ago on 60 minutes, basically gives her life story

Thanks for that link, I remember seeing her in Austin I think. Has a lot of passion, nice to see. If this works out for them, getting their liveries in GT6 this way, hopefully it encourages more racing teams to try the same.

I think is more a commercial deal thing between the team and Sony than it is a petition thing. Strange way of doing business.

Why would a business woman that does business all the time do this...I think they really want PD to put them in probably talked and PD said "can't do it", now they hope the petition changes their mind. That usually what a petition is for.

This looks like a "self promotion" thing.

But I wouldn't mind to get those liveries in GT6.

I met her at this years Australian GP. She gave me and my wife 15minutes of her time. Just talked to us about her cars and what she wants to accomplish this year. My wife just thought she was cool because Betty wears nothing but Dock Martins on her feet. Lee Holdsworth finished a debrief for one of the races and he was going to his trailer. She told him to say hi to us and even though he was exhausted, he chatted to us for a further 10minutes! People were walking by looking at us talking to Betty like, "Who are those people talking to Betty?" Then, we took pics. Fans for life.

Not sure I agree really. Business deals are done between businesses, people. If the deal can't be done, it fails and an alternative deal is done elsewhere.

Creating a public petition when it fails, seems a bit weird to me. Petition your government, or some other organisation that you can't influence on your own strength, yes. This, no.

I suppose I can kind of see your point in that if there a lots of other people that want this to happen, and they have a vested interest in it happening you could pull this kind of stunt. But, I'm not sure that even applies here. I hadn't heard of this team until I saw this thread, and I'm willing to bet the fans of it are to be counted on the fingers of one hand. So, all I can assume is that this team are after a bit of unabashed self promotion.

Obviously they see some kind of gain to have themselves on the game so...

Um petitions don't just extend to government circumstances only but okay once again.

Yes but many of us have heard of this team, even if you hadn't. They are a very popular Aussie V8 supercar team and considering the international platform it has jumped to in the past few years, many of those fans are aware. The GT team not so much. So your baseless assumption really misses the mark there.

Im just adding some info to LMSCorvetteGT2 's post. Erebus Motorsport V8(EMV8)took over from the very popular Stone Brothers Racing(SBR) team. Many fans of SBR jumped ship because they went from being a Ford power to using Mercedes power. Plus, there were some legal things involved that fans werent too happy about. In saying that, EMV8 has gone from 500+ Likes (when I joined) to 51K+ passing FPR and factory Nissan, in less than their first season. The majority of fans know what is going on with the team. The EMGT team broke away from the Australian GT Championship and joined the Asian series just for that reason mentioned. Exposure. Having won the Bathurst 12H with Bernd Schneider, one of the Zuhai China races with Mika Hakkinen and racing at the Macau GP ahowed the professionalism of the team.

I forgot Mika drove for them and Schneider is just an amazing driver, but anyways thanks for the added info I didn't know they joined the Asia series. Well then again, I have a hard time following all the GT around the world especially since the car in my avatar is the main priority.

It looks odd to have the SLS AMG GT3 with no livery. If PD could not procure the rights to use a real-life livery then surely they could make their own. How about a generic Mercedes-Benz and AMG livery?

You haven't heard of this team time until this thread, mission accomplished. 1 more person in the world knows of their existence. Doesn't matter if you're gonna be their biggest fan or their biggest hater. And what's better than pulling in more fans by engaging with them or having them actively participate in something like a petition.

Yeah it's a bit of self promotion but that's never a bad thing is it? They're not out to ruin GT6 but to liven it up. The worst that can happen is Sony/PD say no deal and they end up with hundreds more people knowing their existence and what they're up to.
