I am having trouble with my internet, I can sign in, see my friends, do all that stuff, but I can't actually play online. When I go to open lobby, it freezes, the room don't load up and then I have to click quit game, then the ps3 will beep 3 times and restart. It will work after restarting my router, but after about a day it won't work and then I will have to restart it for it to work again. Does anyone know how to fix it? My NAT is type 2, my UPnP is available, my laptop and ipod works on the network but just this ps3 is giving me trouble. I have di-524 router. Any help would be appreciated thanks:tup:

Try resetting the Internet setting in the ps3 to see if it work. It happen to me before and after resetting my setting in the ps3 everything work fine

I have this problem after I upgraded the HDD. After searching around the internet, I found the solution on the PlayStation forum. Hope it can help other people too. 👍

1. Go to your account information
2. System activation
3. Under games, hit deactivate
4. Go back and hit activate
5. Restart game and verify error no longer occurs

Edit: My error code was actually 0x80001063. Sorry.

I had this issue a while back within about a week of the US release. Not sure what caused it, but deactivating the system and reactivating worked for me and got rid of the error message. 👍

Before you start the PS3 turn everything off, modem, router, and anything else connected to your internet , then restart it all, start the game and go to options, scroll down to the bottom where it says network utilities and click on " clear cache",
this usually works for me when I can't join lobbies or make my own lounge, but can still see friends in community and my friends list.

I usually do the turn off router thing, but I haven't tried the clear cache option. I will try it asap and report back if it works or not.

I couldn't play GT online because I had some fancy DNS which were Google's.
I put DNS from my provider and voila ! I could play.

The funny thing is I could play online with other games.
