Escudo, non wheelie, 300mph

I am trying to get the Escudo over 300mph, whithout doing the wheelie trick. I know you can do it in 2 player mode with the draft, but I am fiddling with the settings and can only get the car upto 298mph.

Help me break the barrier!

hopefully it still has 1881 hp, but all the way low, no downforce gear ratios all the way up on auto, the 6th ratio all the way left then no TCS or ASM, ok do the top speed run, in fifth gear it will get to about 220 the switch to sixth and start decelerating, let off the accelerator let it switch down to 5th and then floor it and hold L2 and let it go way into the redline then at at right before the rev limiter let it go to sixth at that speed the turbo should kick in and let you go well over 300
