hi all im new and all that good stuff.

i just completed a race on deep forest raceway (my favorite track) using the escudo so i could have a challenge and all that.

i couldnt get better than 1:12:34 for a lap. however, i think thats pretty good seeing as the escudo is the most untameable beast in the game. anyone got anything better?

This is the time I got on Deep Forest :
1.'02'111 HP 1844
Turbo Stage 4
Tires Racing Super Softs

 You sir, are a god!!! That must have been one hell of a run!

I got nowhere near this time in the Escudo... Oh wait did you wallride?

I dusted off the cobwebs and rolled the long neglected Escudo out of the garage and took it to deep forest. first qual run was a 107.xxx a few more runs and it was down to 102.276
HP is max and running supper soft tires I did the 3 lap race and got a 103.231 in trafic.
It has been years since I last drove this beast. Kinda fun actually.

The record there is in the region of 55 seconds

(From the GTtimes database.)
Deep Forest Raceway

Rank Driver Car Hp. Tr. En. Date Cont. Time
1 Jake E. Suzuki 1998 Escudo Pikes Peak 1881 MT 4WD 12/14/02 4:18 AM Dual Shock 2 0:55.778
2 postmanpetecoluk Suzuki 1998 Escudo Pikes Peak 1881 MT 4WD 2/9/04 3:38 PM Other wheel 0:55.847
3 Taf Suzuki 1998 Escudo Pikes Peak 1881 MT 4WD 3/21/03 8:58 AM Other wheel 0:57.065

And, yes. they are 100% clean laps. I know all 3 of those drivers.

I adjusted the rear wing and lowered third gear a few notches. I steached 6 gear out a bit and got a better time also. 59.246 It's amazing that 4 more seconds can be shaved off our times. Thats no small amount. All the records are in that neighborhood also. Some are even 5 seconds faster than the Demo times. ouch.

I can not beleave that someone can get 55's,after 1 hour i can only get
58.942's time.I want to see the replay of the run,or i find it hard to
beleave. The thing is there is no power below 6000RPMs and it makes
it hard to drive.

After 2 hours of running deep forest last night I got a 58.800
another 45min and I finallly go a 58.644. No changes or adjments on
the Escudo since the last time. The RPM's never go below 6k for me.
Adjusted the gears so it stays in the power band.

Hey, RICHARDO, watch your language! I am your father! You like monkey cheese?!?!

Okay, enough's enough. This is the 7th (by my count) thread you've resurrected from a long slumber only to add useless or nonsensical comments.

Cease and desist, or find yourself on our Unwanted List.

I think you'll find he was talking to YOU.

What are yuo doing here? your not taking part in discussions, your not adding to topics, your just wasting bandwith and other members time, you've been told by a number or moderators to stop it and yet you constantly ignore them. Honestly, what is the point in you ressurecting dead threads for the single purpose of posting for the sake of it. Do everyone a favour and eather start using your head.

:boggled:  :scared: :( Everybody else in my life says the same things. I'm no professional like you other members are. Let's just face it. All of my replies suck monkey nuts, and I am a dipwhitt at these message boards. :nervous: :indiff: :ill: :guilty: :grumpy: :dunce:

The key is don't post for the sake of it, forums arn't the same as chat rooms, by all means if you want help with anything regarding navigating the site, ask via a private message. At the bottom of a mmbers post you can see "private message", click that and type a message and ask.

Wait a sec. Before you go hating yourself, EVERYONE has a bad start at forum life. Some have even been as bad as you, and are now good contributers. Following Scaff's advice you read earlier is a great way to get started. Follow it, and you will become a better member. If you don't, I doubt your GTP life will be much longer. Trust me, we all want you to stay as we really are a friendly bunch, so just follow his advice. :)

I just started posting here also. Not a great start for me either. But back on topic, I've been trying this for a while, and I can't quite do it in less than a minute. Lots of high 1'00s and low 1'01s
